I bought another brand I had never heard of -- Smartbuy Dual Layer DVD+Rs -- and they worked great. Then I bought this because I have always trusted TDK. Every disc was partially burned by my professional Primera disc duplicator and rejected because they were bad discs. I will not buy this product again. Makes me wonder if it is really TDK or if it is a knockoff.

Some of the 1st group turned out to be white coasters for holiday drinks. Otherwise, the surface will not accept heavy coats of ink from my printer, so the color ends up muted. Not the best, but I've had worse.

Update: these are decent to watch but they are the worst prints led I have ever used. The print coating is garbage. It won't hold ink. You can wipe it off for a week, leaving white streaks thru any picture or script you put on it.

The DVD's take the image very well, looking flawless as opposed to printing labels. The media has proven to be of high quality, with no data transfer errors in over a dozen burns.

I recommend without hesitation.

I purchased these dual layered DVD's from Amazon last month because I had shot 2 separate long wedding videos that would not fit on single layered dvd's. I have always purchased Verbatim inkjet DVD's - single layered and Blu-Rays with no product problems. I decided to purchase these TDK dual layered rather than Verbatim because Verbatim only sold them in a stack of 50, I only needed 10 so I purchased TDK which came in a stack of 25. In my attempts to burn 10 of these dvd's, 3 have been coasters and 4 damaged, of course I don't find this out until either my computer or dvd play indicates "skipping damaged area", and 6 have been a success. I have 12 left and I'm guessing I'll have coasters and damaged dvd's in half of those 12. I will stick with Verbatim and can not recommend this particular brand.

the discs recorded fine until i got to the last 5 discs or so. i read about the last discs being a problem for a lot of people and this turned out to be a problem for me as well. i recorded at the slowest speed on my computer (x4 i believe) from the 1st disc until the last. for some reason the last 5 discs became coasters. i have ordered a 20 pack of verbatim discs. they are more expensive, but hopefully they will have a higher success rate.

Only have burned a handful of DL discs so far, but no coasters yet and I've used them on 3 different drives without issue. I've read recommendations about burning at a slower speed than max when doing DL but one of the burns was at max speed by accident and it still worked flawlessly.

Took a chance and bought these and was not disappointed. I went through a 25 pack with no problems or coasters.Using an ASUS 241b1st and all my burns work just fine. The disc data shows its RITEK-S04-66, although its a lower quality disc it still works pretty good. Im going to buy these next time.

I personally love TDK Brand and have had very very few coasters over the years. It all depends on your burner, plain and simple. I recently upgraded to an LG Blu Ray Burner which "highly recommends Verbatim brand discs"... Needless to say I have 200 Verbatim discs sitting in a cabinet useless to me as the burner refuses to even recognize them. TDK is my preferred brand as with all the different burners I have owned, it has had the best overall compatibility with burners and then players as well, once burnt.
