I must admit I grew up on Halls. Due to my allergies, I get sinus infections and keep sore throats mostly during the spring and fall months. At night, I would sleep with a Halls in my mouth to help suppress my cough and soothe my sore throat and itchy ears. Unfortunately, over time, the sugar in Halls led to adult cavities. My dentist recommended that I start using Cepacol because it's low in sugar and it would better soothe my sore throat. Doctor knows best. He uses Cepacol as well. I highly recommend anyone to switch to this product.

The cherry is obnoxious (nauseous?) and the mixed berry is grossly sweet. Please bring back this flavor as it is the only palatable option and Cepacol is the best performing product. (A life saver with a sore throat)

I have always been a fan of Cepacol lozenges, especially due to the benzocane in them as the numbing always helps especially when I have a bad sore throat. I had never tried the honey lemon flavor before though.

When looking up home sore throat remedies, both honey and lemon were listed, and I knew that they worked well from previous use, so I settled on this flavor. It's got a great taste and worked probably better than other Cepacol flavors. In fact, I think when I need to restock, this is the only flavor I will buy from now on. Highly recommend

First, another review mentions these are good for cough. Cepacol makes a sore throat and cough drop: Cepacol Sore Throat & Cough, Maximum Strength Numbing, Instant Action, 16 Lozenges, (Pack of 3). This is not that product, this is just for sore throat.

I have a mildly painful sore throat, not something I could just ignore. I've been taking Halls medicated lozenges and they help relieve some of the pain. While I was at the store I thought I'd get something different, see what other results I could find. I bought a box of Cepacol Sore Throat lozenges. As soon as I got to my car I popped on in my mouth. Immediately I felt like I was at the dentist, preparing for a filling. These lozenges work like (or maybe that just are) a topical anesthetic. Before I felt any throat relief my tongue was numb and my gums and checks were almost numb too. For me, I HATE that feeling. My sore throat is quite a bother, but its not SO bad that I wanted to put up with being completely numb from mouth into my throat. I may try the throat spray, I find them hard to use because I gag while using them and end up spraying my tongue anyhow. For now I'll stick with the Halls.

IF my sore throat were worse, I might be able to put up with being completely numb in my mouth. Know that these do numb you, and they will numb everything they touch. Lick your lips? Yep, they'll start to tingle too. Up to you if you want to take the good with the bad.

These are the Halls I'm taking: Halls Mentho-Lyptus Cough Suppressant - 200 Cherry Drops. Truth be told I'm actually using the store brand and they are fine.

I prefer Cepacol to Chloraseptic. The numbing ingredients aren't as strong but I've found that makes them easier tolerate. I only give this three stars because I don't care for the flavor. I recommend the Cherry flavored lozenges.
