This is a very nice bus-powered USB 2.0 hub with a functional, compact design. It has four sturdy female USB connectors, three on the long side of its outer face and one on the short side; the back contains a male USB connector on a short, slightly flimsy cable, and there's a nice recessed place provided to dock this connector while travelling so that it should be able to avoid damage.

The hub works well with USB 2.0 High Speed connections -- I tested it by burning a DVD-R through the USB connection, and found it did not reduce burn speeds appreciably. Though there's very little to differentiate USB hubs, this one seems well-designed, sturdy, relatively cheap, and functional, so I'd certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a nice compact hub for travel and laptop use.

I was looking for a hub for my desktop and what I found was really bulky or outdated looking. The nicer ones also seem to be really expensive so I was glad to have stumbled onto this Belkin hub. I really liked the look and the price was also pretty reasonable. Even though it was intended for travel, I decided to purchase this anyway after reading the reviews and am glad I did.

Pros:
- Simple and Clean Design
- Slim/Light
- Feels Fairly Sturdy
- Easily Portable (Good for Travel/Laptop Use)
- Easy to Use
- Cable fits into the hub itself when not in use. This is great if you don't like having extra cables lying around or getting caught it other cables when not using the item. I guess this also makes it easy to store!
- Works great: no problems or disconnections even when using WiFi via a separate adapter that is plugged into the hub or when I have multiple slots in use!

Neutral:
- Reasonable price. I wish it cost a little less but since it works great so far, I don't mind.

Cons:
- Cable is on the really really short side so when it's plugged in to my desktop, it literally hangs. I doubt the weight and the potentially added weight of extra USBs is good for this so I taped the hub to my desktop. At least this way it looks better and it isn't hanging there willy-nilly. This shouldn't be much of a concern if purchasing for a laptop though.

So yes, so far so good! I've been using the item for a little over a week now and there has been no problems whatsoever. If you're looking for an USB hub, I would definitely recommend this one (whether for travel or not). And if anything happens, I will edit this review to let everyone know. :)

I have a netbook that is limited to 2 usb ports. Normally that would be enough, but when you have a wireless mouse, an iphone and a DVD drive, something needs to be left out. This fixed that for me and I am very happy with it. Its only flaw is that it should have a way to afix itself to the computer so that it isn't in the way. Otherwise, it is great.

There is no place in the Amazon description explaining that the cable that plugs the hub to your PC is only 2 inches long...
I know that the product is called Travel Hub, but how was I supposed to understand that the cable is so short?
Now, it will be a good thing for traveling, but as for myself, I will now need to add USB extension cable.

Except of this, the hub looks and feels very good.

Not much to say here! This USB hub works well. I have it plugged into my laptop. The cord is indeed very short - about 1.5", so it would be awkward to use it with a desktop. But again this is a TRAVEL port, so you're not likely travelling with your desktop now, are you?

The USB port just plugs in and works. No setup needed.

The cord fits neatly within the port when not in use. The port is well made and doesn't feel cheap at all.

The only possible detraction would be the length of the cord, but it was not an issue for me.

As a photographer I feel like I'm always running out of USB ports, even though my laptop has 3 of them! This little baby has helped immensely. I keep it plugged into one of my ports and I instantly have room for more. It's also been a huge help with my external harddrive as well! I've seen no problem with speeds or anything - just plug it in and it's ready to go!

It works... I think. I plug stuff into it and it appears to read it properly. I can't tell if it is a slow hub or a a fast hub. I can transfer files easy enough. I am a bit concerned about the very cheap feel of this product. The built-in cord is so ridiculously short as to be comical. Still, it does eliminate the need to purchase an external separate cord. For now I guess it's OK, but the look and feel of this product leaves much to be desired.

I ordered this USB hub several months ago to serve as a compact USB expansion option for a desktop computer. Somehow I overlooked the fact that it's a travel hub, but it still functions without issue. The item is well-made, carrying the same quality I've come to expect from Belkin. I guess there isn't much else that can be said about this expansion option, except that it's a great option at a great price point.
