I haven't ever been a fan or cake. We bought this for our daughter's birthday. It was absolutely delicious!!! It was so yummy. We made a test cake(exactly as instructed on the box) a couple days before the party and I'm so glad we did because it wasn't that good. So I looked on the internet on how to make it better. So we made the cake with 2 extra eggs and double the butter- it was so moist and fluffy- the best cake I've ever had!! Seriously from researching cakes I've found most bakers used boxed cake mix as well and just add extra stuff to make them taste so good. Honestly save yourself money and make this cake with extras added and you wont ever need to buy overpriced cakes from a shop again! Oh and we topped this with homemade peanut butter frosting(so good!!!) with crumbled peanut butter cups!!!! The price for such a great tasting cake and being organic is unbeatable!! I hope they continuing selling this- it's awesome. I am now a fan of this cake!!

This is a seriously good cake mix but not prepared like the box states! If you've tried it before and hated it, I can relate! Until I altered it, I hated it too! The box calls for 1 1/4 milk (your choice of type), 1/2 cup oil and 2 eggs. Prepared that way, this cake mix will not please anyone. Now, here is how to have an awesome cake with this mix:
1 cup of softened butter (the real deal NOT margarine), 4 eggs, 1 1/4 milk. Bake until it tests done... normally about 25-30 minutes mixed this way. Now, if you want to really ramp it up....... coat a cup of chocolate chips in some cornstarch and lightly stir the chips into the batter before putting it in your cake pan (s). This is my go to chocolate mix now that I altered the recipe! Good stuff

This is my favorite cake mix and my son loves it. Arrowheads Mills makes very good quality products at reasonable prices. This cake mix is so moist and it tates great. This will be my go to cake mix for now on both the chocolate and the vanilla one. I don't have the time to make cakes or cupcakes from scratch and this is a life saver for me and the fact that it is organic makes even better.

As a wife and mother who is health conscious, I check food labels every time I shop. After looking at the ingredients in regular cake mixes, I was very disappointed as the ingredients sounded more like a chemistry lab than a food product. The frostings was even more scary. I did not want to serve all of those artificial ingredients to my family. So I was in search of an organic cake mix with ingredients that I recognized (with the exception of Xantham Gum, every ingredient was one that I could buy at my local grocery store or organic food store. By far this organic cake mix is the best tasting chocolate (box) cake we have ever tasted. You won't go wrong with this cake mix. I believe that this will become a family favorite.

AHHHHH---MAZING cake mix!!!! This is what a cake needs to taste like...now, you are going to use butter & not worry about it for a birthday (I would not make this with butter on a regular basis for events or parties). This is essentially a homemade cake with all the mixing of the dry ingredients already done for you.

I looked up ways to make it taste like a bakery cake & make it moister so it won't go stale as quick...I found good advice from Rachel Ray's website...

I made homemade chocolate buttercream frosting for this cake & I will definitely be using it again for another birthday!

I would definitely recommend this cake mix to anyone. My family tried it for the first time and I also gave some away as a birthday gift. I'm still receiving delightful comments from both family and friends.

What I love most of all is how very soft, moist and light it is. The ingredients suggested in the mixing instructions on the back of the box are healthy. I've heard people say on more than one occasion that healthy doesn't taste good. After you try this I believe you'll have to take back your words.
