I bought this at a local store when they had a sale on. It was still nearly double the price. The sales person said the chocolate tasted much better than the vanilla so I bought the chocolate. I first tried mixing it in water. It does not mix as easily as they say it does. It had clumps and didn't taste very good. However, my desire was to mix it in with my green smoothies, so I just add a heaping scoop to them in the blender and it mixes up just fine and the taste actually complements the smoothies. I have heard people complain about being constipated from this. What most people don't realize is that you need to drink adequate fluid with any protein supplement. I drink at least a gallon of water a day. I also eat lots of fiber rich foods. If you are eating nutrient poor foods and foods with preservatives, fast foods and those kinds of foods, don't blame the constipation on this drink. Blame it on the lack of proper nutrition. This is a powerhouse of nutiriton and even though it does contain fructose, there are worse choices for sweeteners. Overall I would have given this 5 stars, except for the poor mixing and flavor, so I docked it a bit on those two points. You may notice that when you go to the bathroom, your urine may be bright yellow. This is due to the B vitamins in the mix. I can't think of a better product than this one for supplementing your nutrition.

If you're buying this because you want something that tastes like a chocolate milkshake, then don't even bother. It is truly an acquired taste, but my husband and I drink a shake every morning and feel better for it. I make mine with almond milk or water, he takes his with soy or cows milk. We put them in a blender with ice and sometimes a banana. Check out the ingredient list--it is insane how much good stuff is in there.

I have been using a different brand of soy shake and love it but thought I should try others just in case. I wish I hadn't because now I have a whole container of this left I've forced myself to use it 4 times and that's enough. If I hadn't found the other brand that is so good I might have accepted this one for what it is but protein shakes apparently can taste good. This tastes like the alive vitamins would if you were to grind them up and add milk.

I am a little skeptical that some reviewers have actually tried this shake, because my experience is a little contrary to many of the comments in here.

This shake has some great health benefits and my experience has been that I feel healthier and have noticeably more energy after drinking it. However, it does not taste great with water and it does not blend very well. I have found that the key to a good tasting vanilla shake is mixing it with orange juice. It tastes like an orange and vanilla ice cream bar and is much more palatable. You really need to mix it well because it's kind of chunky, and even then I like to let mine sit for ~10 mins in the refrigerator because I feel like some of the fructose dissolves a little more.

I do NOT like the apple cinnamon. I have not been able to make it work for me.

I'll try the chocolate in the future and update my review.

I mix it with Slim-Fast myself, which also tastes kinda "meh" by itself (too sweet), but put together, they taste not too shabby. Great way to start the day - with this and a few basic supplements you've got just about all the essential vitamins out of the way right then and there.

I've bought the vanilla flavored powder a few times and I find that the taste differs from batch to batch. Sometimes it taste really good and in other occasions it taste really bad. I bought the chocolate flavored one and it was one of the "bad tasting batches". My brother also buys this product and have the same problem, inconsistent flavor.
