My 200 Dollar video card turned into a $200 paper-wieght because the cheap $5 fan
crapped out. (Luckily, it had the good sense to shut down before catching fire.)
This fan was a direct replacement only better, quieter and more heatsinked that the original
and I was back up and running Hi-Def video ten minutes after opening the packing box.
I did purchase good thermal grease and cleaned the surfaces well and re-applied the new heat-grease
carefully first, though. Its been nearly a month and no problems at all.

I ordered two. One was spinning slow; the other spinning crazy fast. I cant tell which is the right one. The slow one was quiet but hardly moved any air; the fast one was loud, but, moved some air. I kept the noisy fast one; however, I have not yet used it extensively. I returned the slow one. The fast one is too noisy.

It is a nice little fan that can be used in cooling down a motherboard's chip set (not the CPU mind you). The two plastic spring pins allow for its easy installation for that particular purpose, if your motherboard supports such options. The heat sink's body consists of aluminum, the fan itself is made out of plastic, and it gives out a faint humming noise (barely audible) while operating. I would give it five stars if the fan would rotate at a higher speed, it does not move much air, so that is the only negative. Although for the purposes for which I purchase it for it will suffice.

This PC VGA Video Card 2 Pin 55mm Cooler Cooling Fan Heatsink 4800 RPM was just what I needed to replace a non-working fan on a video card and note that it looks like a common size to fit most video cars of this type with small heatsink/fan combo as it works and went together easy plus I added a dab of heat sink paste to help the process...it's a winner.

The fan was shipped in a small plastic bag inside one of the easy-open boxes. They were in good condition when they arrived.(I ordered two)
One problem I had with them is the plastic plug. It did not fin into my graphics card. However, I managed by using the plug from the old fan and soldering the new fan to that plug.
It works fine as a fan, however it can get a bit noisy when dust gets inside it, and you actually have to take the fan out of the heat sink and spray canned air in the gap between the part that spins and the mounting part. It was quieter after that, but not silent or anything.

This little heatskink is perfect for cooling electronic components. Especually cooling mosfets, led chips, other transistor. I use it to cool my 10w led chip, it does excellent job on keeping those led cool.

I purchased this to cool the hot side of a 60W peltier junction. With this heatsink, the junction can run continuously under a light thermal load, whereas a passive heatsink with similar thermal mass could only keep it running for a few minutes before the junction overheated.

In attempting to cool about 500mL of water, however, this sink was still insufficient. The junction overheated in about 15 minutes. I'll need a more effective heatsink for my purposes, but I may still find a use for this.

Good product for a low cost, is 100% aluminium, is powerful in comparative of my previous fan cooler and good working in one Nvidia GT 9400 1gb
