Okay, I should have read it more carefully, but I thought I was getting all four of them. I got one. It's green, and it's cracked. The box is pristine, so I have to assume that it was broken when they put it in there. Aside from the crack and the color I didn't want, the item still is pretty crappy. It looks very cheap. I could easily see it on a rack at the dollar store. Don't waste your money on this one.

Feels like a dollar store product is I feel it's over priced at $12 but is works. I received pink which is the only color that doesn't match my kitchen. I will use it until I find a better one. Edit: i bought bendy straws at my local grocery store and they are too tall to fit under the lid. I didn't even think about straws being different sizes but the straws it came with are short and very thin.

The straws work as designed. But the container is adorable. I was kinda upset that I didn't get to choose my color but I got yellow and it works fine. I've refilled it several times. It's easy to keep clean.

I just wish it was a little taller. I ordered it because it was plastic, and taller than some of the other ones. Plus the price was better than a lot of them. I know some of the other reviews said it was to light, and it came off the counter when you pulled the lid up, but it doesnt if you have it full of straws. besides, you could weigh it down if it really bothered you...

Our 8 yr old started painting with acrylics on canvas and we bought these after a friend of ours, who also paints, showed us that she keeps all of her detailing paint brushes in a straw dispenser. It keeps the brushes from getting damaged (or a cat from running off with them) and all in one place until they are needed.
As for the quality of the holder, it's very cute and well worth the money.

This looks just like a dispenser that works as it should: you pull up the top, the straws come up for your selection and the bottom of the dispenser stays on the surface/counter. Instead, the whole thing lifts when you lift the top and you have to hold the bottom down for the straws to emerge. Definitely not a one- handed dispenser.
