This is larger in diameter than most rolling pins, making it easier to roll out dough and pie crusts smoothly. The handle on mine was tight when it arrived but spun easily after I unscrewed it slightly. For the modest price (it was less than any local retail store) I'm pleased with my purchase and am confident that with reasonable care this rolling pin will give me many years of good service.

This rolling pin is a tried and true classic. I am a novice learning how to handle various doughs and pastries so I wanted a rolling pin that was easy to use so I could feel more confident. This rolling pin is smooth hardwood, and it rolls well. It was a little stiff when it first arrived, but all I had to do was loosen the pins on the ends slightly to make it roll like a dream. I haven't had any issues with dough sticking to the pin. Farberware recommends that it be wiped clean with a damp cloth. I love this minimal upkeep. I predict this rolling pin will be around to see me through all kinds of delicious projects.

Bought this exclusively to use with: Casabella Silicone Rolling Pin Spacer Bands, Multicolor, Set of 8

Had some other type of Rolling Pin at home but that was for Food-use.

===== QUALITY =====
Great! The Rolling pin is super smooth and Sturdy.

Rolling Pin has a 2" diameter.

There are opaque white plastic O-Ring inserts that separate the rolling pin handles from the Roller.

Applying too much pressure on both handles (roughly over 15 pounds) causes the internal metal rod to flex and warp but return back to a straight metal rod. However, the internal design prevents uneven distribution of weight, so the weight is evenly distributed across the rolling pin.

Handles are roughly 4" long on each side and grooved for better grip.

Rolling Pin is 12" long.

I really like this, and if it works with Sulfur-Free Air-Dry Clay, it will work with Bread-dough.
