Fresh from divorce court, Renata Novak is tired of being a good Catholic girl. For once she wants to be a little bad and indulging in sexy underwear goes a long way toward bolstering her spirit. She'd only intended for her `rebellion' to involve the red underwear, but a new temptation strikes in the form of the sexy Englishman who compliments her choice of undergarments.

Damien De Winters is accustomed to getting his own way in most things and he couldn't have been happier when Renata falls into his arms (and bed) without too much persuading. The last thing he expects is to still be thinking about her months afterward or the significance their backgrounds and skin-color will have on any future relationship.

Five months after their tryst Renata is living with the reality of becoming a single mom. Her passionate encounter with Damien resulted in an unplanned pregnancy - with twins. Having Damien reappear in her life suddenly is quite a shock. Damien had hoped to pick up where they'd left off after their brief time together but it's obvious now that marriage is necessary. Unfortunately Renata doesn't share his point of view. Damien's determined that his children are born legitimate. They have to be in order to inherit his title and family properties. Unbeknownst to Renata, Damien is the thirteenth Baron of Mayfield. Renata's already had one failed marriage and has no desire to relive the experience but Damien's persuasive and even enlists the aid of her family. Renata's no pushover though and it's going to take more than a proposal of a marriage of convenience to convince her to say "I do."

With her divorce becoming final just a few hours ago, the newly single Renate Novak decides to treat herself to new lingerie. What better way to make a girl feel better? As she is deciding on a red lacy bra, a masculine English voice tells her to buy it. It would look good on her. Divorce also makes Renata throw caution to the wind and she spends a very romantic evening with the Englishman in J.M. Jeffries' newest romance novel, Suite Seduction.

Five months later, Damien DeWinters is still thinking about Renata. With little information to go on, he hires a private detective and finds her in her hometown of Chicago. When he unexpectedly shows up at her home, he finds a bigger surprise. Renata is carrying the "juniors", twin boys and he is the father. Damien is overjoyed because now he has heirs to his fortune. However, Renata is less than enthused about allowing him into their lives. She is financially set, able to care for the children and herself, thanks to her divorce settlement. Damien, not to be deterred, begs to do the right thing and uses any means necessary to try to accomplish this goal. Will they be able to put aside their differences or will a blast from the past come and ruin things?

J.M. Jeffries pens a funny, interracial romance. There is good dialogue between the characters, some which had me laughing out loud. This is a good romance novel, however with all romance novels there is a bit of conflict thrown in to make the reader wonder if the couple will remain together. J.M Jeffries introduced the conflict but it kind of fizzled and did not really add to the suspense. Suite Seduction was something different for me, as I do not remember reading an interracial romance before. I think die-hard romance readers will enjoy this novel.

This book was okay. I have read other books by this author and this one was not high on the list. It had a great premise, Renata Nowak meets a handsome and very wealthy stranger Damien DeWinters in the lingerie shop at a upscale hotel, they are instantly attracted to each other and they spend one great night together. The story goes forward five months where we find out she is pregnant with twins. Damien DeWinters cannot forget about her so he hires a private investigator to find her. Lo and Behold he discovers he is to become a father. He takes the news in stride and wants to do the right thing by marrying her and giving his sons a name. After that second meeting, the story falls flat, there is not as much of the typical J.M. Jeffries humor, though there were some funny parts. The book had a lot of typos, first words that were not picked up as typos but obviously were not the right word to use, such as "to" instead of "too" and just plain grammatical mistakes. The editors did not review the final copy too closely before it went to press. I bought this book based on the other reviews, but it was not quite what I expected.

I'll keep this short and to the point.

The story was way too short. There was no character development. We didn't get to know Renata or Damien as individuals let along as a couple. They didn't even get to know each other. The plot was totally unbelievible even for a romance novel. Two adults have unprotected sex. Renata gets pregnant and decides to keep the baby? She knows nothing about the father and doesn't feel the need to learn anything about him or even tell that he's going to be a father. Damien is an English baron, titled and very rich. He finds her after several months. When he sees her pregnant he just knows that they are his babies. No questions like hey she had sex with me and didn't even know me 1 hour maybe just maybe she's a ho. Nope they are just his babies and he steps right in and starts planning their life. The plot was weak and the characters lacked substance. I could care less about either of them. Save your money...

Why two stars? Because I actually finished the book and I've actually read worse.
