It was a replacement for a failed like unit. It charged and operated the lift chair normally. However, the power cord was several inches shorter than the original which in my application caused it to fall in the bathtub water. I built a special bracket and it has now worked normally for about 6 recharges

I needed to replace the original hand control that I bought two years earlier, completely broke, so I ordered another through AMAZON and the replacement arrived and it didn't operate at all. I've disputed the charge but I've only received a card indicating the dealer has 45 days to respond. I've heard nothing, I'll never buy another product from DRIVE. I've aleady received info on another bath chair not made by DRIVE.!!!
HAND CONTROL DOESN''T HOLD CHARGE AS INDICATED.GOT STUCK IN TUB AND NEEDED ASSISTANCE TO GET OUT.
I bought it to prevent this from occurring, but the hand control device isn't as advirtised!
Is there a star less than one? COMPLETE CRAP!

I received the hand control including the battery. It was functional for the one time I used it. for setting it up and removing it. I don't know how the controller would function in normal use and for how long. I purchased the entire setup for my wife. Unfortunately,she has never made it home to enjoy this lift chair.

There were no charging instructions to follow. I just charged it until the red light turned off.
