Great mat! The only problem I have now is that I set off the metal detectors at the airports....because of my abs of steel. I place it on my yoga mat and it stays put while I do my situps. It really allows me to hit a good portion of my abdominal wall for a deep burn. Great purchase and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to strengthen your core.

The AbMat is one the preferred ab tools by those who follow the CrossFit method of training.

I use the ABMat in my own workouts and also with my clients. It's very convenient in that it is small and portable,compared to a stability ball that takes up quite a bit of room.

You can "hit" all angles of your abs...upper, lower, and sides.

Don't expect any "fat-loss" miracles, but this is a solid product that will produce results.

The only reason that I don't give it 5 stars is that it seems a little expensive for what it is.,

I've used these Abmats at my local Crossfit gym for years, so knew they were a good product. I bought this one for home. It came with a simple and useful insert adding a number of new abdominal exercises to what I knew already. I enjoy having it, and use it regularly. It is very effective for not only safe situps which do not strain my back, but also for strengthening the side oblique muscles and other abdominal areas. From my experience with them at the gym, I can attest that they last a long time without deterioration. You need take no more than 5 minutes for a very effective abdominal tune-up.

Totally functional for situps and side sit ups. Contours to your back like it should and comfortable. Rigid at first but after a few uses it loosens up.

This does isolate the abdominal muscles. At first it feels easier but once you try to reach your normal high reps you realize just how much your hip flexors were helping before. Really like it and I like the side workouts as well.

Just got my Ab mat and it is surprisingly effective for such a simple item. I bought it because I hoped it would support my lower back and prevent injury, however it does more than that. It makes you fully stretch your abs before you sit up, giving you a full range of motion contraction. It still supports my back and the sit ups seem easier somehow.

Ive abused the s*** out of this ab Mat!

Used it outside, on the beach, in the dirt, on the carpet. Etc.....

it stays firm too!

i also use it to strech out my back before i go to sleep, it feels great!

The AbMat rocks for abdominal workouts. You get a great ab workout because of the body position the mat forces you into, following the natural curvature of your spine. I find it easy to do sit ups on flat ground with legs extended and it definitely hits harder than standard sit ups, even when anchored. Combine the AbMat with a plate, medicine ball or dumbbell on your chest and it's on for intense ab work. Excellent product, very happy!
