The screws are fine and maybe the (great) price should have been a heads up. The head of the screw is stamped/embossed with letters and/or a code. They are not shiny stainless steel but look rather more galvanized. I use them in artwork so I would have preferred smooth, shiny stainless (chrome) but they will still do the job and seem to be a good quality screw especially at that quantity and price.

Excellent price. I really like the hex (Allen) drives versus #2 Phillips. All of the screws seemed well formed. I bought these for a stainless steel hand rail installation.
