I purchased this on recommendations on the LS1GTO Forums that it would end the whine I was getting from the gears in the stock rear diff in my 2005 Pontiac GTO. It worked! The diff quieted right down! I also used Torco's Type F friction modifier, and the limited slip is working perfectly with no chatter or funny business. Highly recommended!

Works great in my '06 GTO, just be sure to get the Type F friction modifier and not the GM one as the Brog Warner/Dana/Spicer M80 diff is a whole different beast. If you have a GTO with a moderate amount of clunking, I'd say go for it. It decreased the occurrence of clunking sounds for me and I know a few other GTO guys who've had results with it as well. Worst case is it doesn't help and now you're running higher quality fluids in the diff.

Attention 2004-2006 GTO owners this is a must have for maintaining the rear differential. I have tried other products (Valvoline SYN Power and Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube) and was not satisfied with the rear end chatter that appeared a few months after changing the fluid. I purchased 1 bottle of the Torco AFM0050JE Type F Limited-Slip Additive for Ford (Use 2oz per rear diff) and 2 bottles of the Torco A248514CE 85W-140 Racing Gear Oil. I am very satisfied with the performance in both an 04 and 06 GTO. It has been 8 months now and no rear end chatter.
