The product is adequate. The real issue is the poor construction quality of the Tom Tom unit (once you get inside), and the VERY real probability that you will ruin your GPS by trying to replace the useless battery Tom Tom included in the first place. I was lucky that I have a friend who is a professional electronics technician, because the average amateur should NOT try to replace their battery. Considering how cheap new GPS units have become, and the fact that many new units come with free lifetime map upgrades... I suggest, instead of trying to fix it, you abandon the archaic Tom Tom unit with the out-of-date maps and lame factory-supplied battery and buy a higher quality new unit. I am sorry I wasted money on this product; it was more trouble than it was worth.
