Are you a rock and roll musician?...This is the only review you need...I play in a r&r band every weekend..I bought this amp to run a pair of peavey sp-218s...I have used it for 2 weekends and it thumps just fine...It smokes my crest cc-4000..which costs twice as much and weighs 60 pounds..The amp runs cool all night long and does what its supposed to...I run a 16 channel allen heath board with dbx long throw eq and compressor..Lexacon effx..Ashley crossover..Seismic audio dual 15 tops(rmx-2450),oap 12+horn(rmx-1850hd)...And yes the S.A. tops do just fine for the cash...Bottom line...For $400 per amp..I could sell all my qsc amps and buy a bunch of these and save my back alot of lifting.....Very happy and suprised..Oh and by the way..If you have a durability problem..Take the amp out of the bax..and put it in a rack...Problem solved!!!Behringer NU6000 iNuke Ultra-Lightweight, High-Density 6000-Watt Power Amplifier

Originally I wrote a two-star review for this amp, because when I did a side-by-side subwoofer listening test between the iNuke 6000 (1,500w/side into 8 ohms) and my Alesis Matica 900 (270w/side into 8 ohms) I heard no difference in volume. Both amps clipped at the same apparent loudness. I was disappointed. But the disappointment didn't last very long...

When my band first used the iNuke 6000 as a subwoofer amp at an outdoor festival, it sounded like an entirely different amp than what I had tested at home. It was loud. Really loud! It pushed my 21" downward-firing subs like they've never been pushed before. The kick drum was producing a solid, deep "whump!" while only the first signal indicator light on the iNuke was lighting up.

I didn't have my Matica along to do a comparison, but I KNOW my Matica could not have reached that volume. At half that volume, my Matica's clip light would have been sputtering like a fluorescent hospital light in a low-budget horror movie.

So why did I get all that volume with the iNuke on the gig and not when testing the amp at home? I have no idea, but I'm guessing there might have been a difference in line voltage between my house the venue, and maybe this amp requires clean voltage. I just don't know. All I can tell you is that I was more than impressed with how well the iNuke worked on the gig. My subwoofers filled the tent beyond my expectations. I was never a fan of Behringer in general, but I believe in giving credit where it is due, and Behringer really came through on this amp.

UPDATE 2015: I've used the iNuke 6000 at several outdoor venues over the past couple of years, and it's been consistently and reliably cranking out at full volume.

WHAT AN AMP!!!! I have 3 Inuke amplifiers, one NU6000 and two NU3000'S. These new class D amps from Behringer are truly awesome. Light as a feather, Nice looking, and very low heat production. I used my NU6000 on eight 18" sub-woofer cabinets for a test and this baby didn't even flinch! In fact I only needed a half volume knob turn for earthquake volume. Bass was so strong the glass globe from my ceiling fan rattle loose and shattered on the table below!! I Used my NU3000 model on 4 15" full range speaker cabinets and the amp was like.."that's all you got for me to do"(lol). I haven't even used the other NU3000 so I guess it will just be a back up. Great buy for the cost with super clean sound. As far as the noisy fans others complain about I really didn't see it as an issue for the environment these amps are used in.

I have a modest DJ system and I needed an amp to handle the mid ranges from a Behringer crossover. The original system amp, a Marathon 4000 is now delegated to the highs. The speakers were reconfigured for tweeters and horns (highs only), and 15" woofers (mids only). A Eurolive B1800D does the rest.
The NU6000 produces the clearest, cleanest mids at all sound levels. It exceeded my expectations.

Let me start by saying I've been in retail sales my whole life until just recently, and I've always been a Klipsch / NAD guy! Through the years I've owned everything from Realistic to Mckintosh so I have a pretty good sense of whats good and what's not!As far as speakers go I've had everything from Fisher to KEF / B&W / Martin Logan / Klipsch / Polk Audio and the list goes on.For some reason out of everything I've owned and auditioned I always fall back on my NAD 7600, 2600A bridged mono and my Klipsch Forte 2's. About a week ago one of my amps started acting up so I took it in for service but they said they were really backed up and it could be awhile, in the meantime I saw this amp and thought I would give it a try. My expectations weren't very high for $350 and on top of that the specifications were like nothing I had ever seen in that price range.Anyway to sum it up BUY IT!!!!This amp is INSANE!!!!!!I hooked it up using a NAD 1600 preamp/tuner and 2 pair [4 total] of Pyle PADH215 2000W Heavy Duty Speakers in parallel, I'm not joking I swear I thought it was going to launch all 8 woofers across the room! The sound quality even at high volume was awesome, I'm still in AHHHHHH! I didn't want to make this a long winded review but I definitely wanted to get my point across, I was very leery of these new digital amps but if they all sound like this I'm all for it!!Great job Behringer keep up the good/great work!!
Jeff
I decided to see how far I could push the speakers, before the amp started to clip the voice coil on one of the pyle woofers ripped the spider cone and popped out of the magnet!! This is a first, in my entire career I have never witnessed anything like this! I knew the speakers had reached their limit but the amp still had more to give!!!So to sum this up RESPECT THIS AMP or you'll be replacing a lot of drivers!!This amp deserves 6 stars!!!
