So, maybe these aren't the greatest in terms of light gathering and magnification, however, it terms of lightweight, tough, waterproof binos, these more than made the grade in an Alaska trip. I was able tfo get close up views of wildlife, scenery and astronomical objects with these binoculars while saving room in my carry on during a vacation that was heavy on flying. I'm very happy and expect to use these as my primary binoculars from now on.

We are an NFL football team season ticket holder and I was looking for binoculars for my wife to use when we go to the games. I already had my pair and the ones that she was using were pretty well shot. I spent a lot of time reading and studying them. This one, for what I wanted it for, has been the perfect choice to the point that I might just retire my good pair and buy another one of these. The clarity of the focus is extraordinary and who needs replay when you can see that it was a fumble. Being waterproof, when a storm comes through I don't have to worry about ruining the binoculars. They will also be used while boating, where waterproof is extremely important.

Like the size for carrying in pocket of vest or jacket and quality seems to be good. The clarity when checking far away objects is ok and I will keep and use them but the clarity is not 100%. I would say it is 90%-95%. Overall the binocular is ok for occasional use when it is not practical to carry a larger and heavier pair.

It's obvious why you can't find any negative reviews on these binos. Sure you can spend more, but for what they're designed for, these are hard to beat, especially for the cost. If you want a detailed review, there are several out there. I will just add myself to the long list of very satisfied owners. Highly recommended.

This binoculars are very clear. I live in a lake that is 1 mile in radius and these have allowed me to see the many varieties of birds and ducks. They are easy to focus and I find that tracking birds in flight to be steady and smooth.

My fiancé's first pair of binoculars we brought on a cruise. They work great! We're not big spotters or anything but we were able to see a family of orca whales far out from our ship which was amazing!

I have used this only briefly. The optics seem quite good for an inexpensive binoculars. It holds its focus well. I recommend the 8 power model over the 10 power, as it is difficult to hold am 10X binoculars steady. It is a little difficult to put it into the soft case.

Unfortunately, the collimation was off immediately upon receipt of these binoculars. I own higher-end binocs (Zeiss) and middle range binocs (Carson, Nikon) which I greatly recommend. I was looking for an inexpensive pair to use for quick trips to the zoo, the nature preserve, a ballgame, the beach. I understand that these are inexpensive, and was not expecting much for optical quality. That said, if a glass is not collimated, it will cause a user headaches over time as the eyes try to adjust for the "double vision effect". If one is to buy these binocs, I strongly suggest reading a webpage or two (google search it) about binocular collimation and then run the simple tests (moving eyes away from lenses, looking at a horizontal line like a wire, etc.) and test your Orros. I ran the visual tests comparing to my known-collimated Zeiss 8x20s and it was clear that the Orris were not collimated, and thus not to be used/useful. Amazon return policy ideal here.

Before someone states that I should not give a two-star review for a "defective pair", actually, the review is for the overall product. The clarity is poor, even for under $100 binoculars, and there is significant edge blurring. Even in dead strong sunlight, the image is relatively dim. The case is not padded. The warranty is limited duration (Nikon has startlingly superb lifelong warranty, as does Carson and Zeiss). The money is better spent on a slightly more costly binocular with a significantly better build and optical quality. Candidates would be Nikon Trailblazer series, Nikon Action Extreme porros, or Carson binoculars in the $100 (VP) to $300 (ED) range, based on my experience. (From my experience, also avoid Barska brand). Without a doubt, if one can afford the Zeiss Victory Compacts at $600 on sale, they are lifelong keepers.
