I purchased one of these feeders just to see if I liked it...well, I liked it and the hummers loved it, so I went back for 5 more!!!...The best part about it is that it totally comes apart easily and can be washed with ease, getting all of the nooks and crannies clean for the little hummers. My husband and I get a lot of joy watching the hummers feed, and with 6 feeders, we have so many hummers some days it is just amazing...and my 2 cats love "chirping" at them also !!...I have purchased several different types of feeders in the past, and this is by far the best ever !!

11/28/2012: A word of advice on these feeders...I liked them so much that I ordered more for myself and a friend (8)...when they arrived, every feeder was missing one of the yellow "flowers"-every single feeder was missing one flower, very strange...it was not worth it to me to pack them up and return them, I will make do with them as they are, but beware when they arrive to check them right away for all of their flowers...

I regretted buying this product because the plasticizers in it. It means that the only condition it's safe to use is under not-too-hot ambient temperature, under the shade, and no periodic chlorine sanitation or hard scrubbing. In addition, the glass bottle and the plastic parts are more fragile than most of other brands. I've bought quite a few in the past because the plastic cracked and bottle broke after impact. The product doesn't last unless you're careful in handling it.

I love this feeder! It's so easy to clean, take apart, won't leak and has little "seats" for the "hummers" to sit on while feeding. I will never buy another kind as long as this one is available. I've had this feeder for a few months now and it's a joy to use and very easy to fill. I can make up 1 cup of the nectar and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it will be cool enough to refill the cleaned More Birds Ruby Hummingbird Glass & Plastic Feeder.

When sold as a 4-pack for under $20, it was a good deal. At one feeder for $14+, nah. The glass bottle, with a wide mouth, is a great feature. The plastic base with the little yellow plastic flowers is so-so. I highly recommend removing the flowers and cleaning them thoroughly and carefully with a solution such as vinegar. If you use bleach, make sure you completely remove that toxic substance from the surfaces, because it will kill the lovely hummers. The fungus that develops on the feeder tubes and flowers will also infect the tongues and throats of the hummingbirds and kill them. If the manufacturers found a material that is less susceptible to fungal accumulation, and easier to clean, it would merit a 5-star review. Not yet.

Pros: (1) It's made of glass with a wide opening for easy cleaning. (2) Hummers recognize the feeder rather quickly due to it traditional design.
Cons: (1) Yellow (not white as shown in the photo) flowers attract bees and wasps. I certainly don't want hummers get stunt by bees or stay away because of it. I ended up buying a small bottle of non-toxic paint to paint them in red. (2) The chief complaint: it contains BPA. You'll need to keep it out of the sun rays at all time to prevent it from leaching into the nectar.

This Hummingbird feeder is, so far, the best feeder. Here's why:

1. It's intelligently designed (i.e. there's an ant "moat" on top, that prevents ants from climbing down to the nectar)
2. It comes with an "S" hook to hang the feeder
3. It does not leak through the plastic "flowers" when you fill it with liquid nectar (at least it does not leak yet)
4. It's made of sturdy glass (not the removable bottom)
5. The red color of the feeder and the yellow plastic "flowers" attracts hummingbirds

So far, there is nothing wrong with this hummingbird feeder. However, the 2 components that are problems are the fact that the removable bottom is made from plastic and the top hole that the "S" hook hangs from is made from plastic too,, not metal (hopefully the top, plastic hole is sturdy enough not to crack and break which will, of course, cause this feeder to fall and crack if it falls on cement or any hard surface, which will be product/design flaw...).

The best hummingbird feeder out there...I have tried them all. you do not have to tap to get the bubbles out. the cup at the top, when water is added, keeps the ants out!
If any hummingbird feeder is not washed every 1-2 weeks, it will get mold, and this is bad for the birds.
