I'm updating my review because after a year of use I can tell you the light stinks! The brightness is fine and the ability to swivel each individual light is great, but it sucks all the power from the batteries even when it's not on! I think I only got about a couple of hours out of the set of batteries I put in the last time...this gets very expensive considering it takes six AAA batteries, it's also very inconvenient since you can't depend on it being able to light up when you need it.

Below is my original review when I first got the light:
I purchased this fixture to back light a stained glass panel that I wanted to put in my wall unit vs. trying to find a window to hang it. The remote works well, though you need to point it directly where the fixture is placed. A big plus is that each light is positionable which allowed me to move them so they spread diffused light onto the stained glass vs. showing the bright LED light points directly on the glass panel.

Bought this item 3 months ago and installed 6 new duracell AAA batteries. The light was not used often. And when used only approx 5 - 10mins. Today the light was not working. I tested the batteries and all were dead. If you need a light in an area that you can't plug in, try the led tap lights. I bought a 3pk in the same order as this item and they are still going strong.

This light eats batteries like a cow eats grass. If you get much more than an hour from your batteries, you're lucky. I've used rechargeable and lithium batteries, but the light eats them all. Don't buy unless you have stock in EverReady or Duracell.

I used this light for maybe 5 minutes and it would not turn on after a month of not using it.

I put this under my fish tank to help to see underneath it at night. I usually use natural light, but at night it's hard to see things under it. When I first started to use it,I thought it worked great! Every time I needed it for a couple minutes it was awesome. When I tried using it the 3rd week, it would not turn on. I just thought I forgot to turn it off one day and I killed the batteries so I bought new ones for it. After about 3 weeks again, the same thing happened and I know that I did not forget to turn it off.

This light sucks and it will cost you more money in batteries then it would if you just looked around for a little bit longer. The new LED lights that are starting to come out, now have remotes for them as well. For an extra 10 dollars more, I think that it's worth it.

I wouldn't recommend this to anybody

I am SO disappointed in these lights. I bought them to go under my cabinets as I didn't want to install "real" ones. First of all, the lights are blue which I don't understand because it says they are white. More importantly, the lights aren't very bright and after turning them on once or twice, they stopped working. I didn't even leave them on long. I expected more life since they need SIX batteries. The remotes worked once and were useless after that. I get that they are cheap and battery operated but I expected a little more than that.

I bought these without reading the reviews. Huge mistake. They drain your batteries without being turned on. In the areas I placed them they don't get used much. After being up for two months I went to use the light and the batteries that were brand new when installed were completely dead. I put them on a multimeter and there was no charge at all. Stay away from these, if you really feel compelled to buy them without heeding my warning then contact me and I'll make you a great deal on five of them if I haven't thrown them away yet.
