these were very easy to assemble and feel pretty sturdy. the foam handles are comfortable and they stay put against the carpet without sliding. the top piece that has the foam handle is metal and has a good solid feel. the other piece is plastic but seems pretty solid. they connect using a bolt and nut that tighten easily with basic tools. it did not come with tools so i used a phillips screwdriver and a pair of pliers. the metal being around the plastic is nice because that keeps the nut from crushing the plastic as it tightens. seems it would be kind of hard to over tighten because once it was snug it was pretty tough to tighten anymore with that meal tube not budging. the bottom pieces that press on the floor are a soft rubber not plastic. overall good item. would for sure recommend.
