I am playing adult men's beach soccer, and I purchased the Hot Pink ones just because I figured why not? I have played a multitude of different sports, soccer being one of my main ones. I put these boots through hell. I sprint up and down the beach, kick the soccer ball repeatedly, and wear them walking back and forth to the car.

My sand socks do have a hole in them, but it is simply because I kicked the poly and it snagged on my sock.

These socks are excellent for basic use on the beach. I also used them when out football team was forced to run up the sand hill over in Malibu, people made fun of the color, but then realized the usefulness when I waited for them at the top of the hill.

These socks provide good cushion to sharp objects, heat, and just rough wear on your feet.

Yes if you walk on the asphalt or sidewalk the grip will wear off, but that is not what they are made for. I find them extremely useful for beach sports and activities.

The only downside I have found to these socks is the little strap in the back. It has no way of keeping the sand out of it unless you do like me and take the hole shut.
That is the only reason that this product received four stars.

I highly recommend this product to people who plan to spend lots of time on the beach either playing sports or just running.

Some reviewers have stated these would work for scuba diving within a fin but I don't see it. And in fact the manufacturer doesn't even say they're good for scuba on the package (they mention every other beach sport). They are very thin (thinner than a sock) which may stop the blister from appearing on your heel - but the bottom is a sandpaper style grip which would make getting into a fin very difficult. Had to return and stick with the neoprene booties for diving. Just not for scuba.

Loved the sand socks! We wore them on the beaches in Florida and they protected our feet from heat and abrasive sand. I'm glad that previous reviews mentioned that they run large. To that, I would add that people should consider going up a size if their feet are wide and have a high arch. Both of us who got these socks have wide feet, high arches and were at the top end of the recommended size range. Our feet extended somewhat beyond the bottom edges of the sock, but we still found them comfortable and effective. They were also durable. We did not experience the problems with worn soles that some other reviewers have mentioned. We will definitely buy again.

They serve the purpose of keeping your feet safe from sharp rocks and shells as well as from scorching sand. But as for comfort, they fit odd. And tend to slide around on your feet. Especially when you start to sweat. I would go with a tighter fitting sock with rubber soles instead.

Left sock came with a ripped seam and hole on the ankle collar. Very disappointed. The logo was also sticking to itself and had slightly peeled off onto other parts of the sock. Width is best for medium to narrow feet. Wouldn't work for wide feet in my opinion.

Sizing was a little tricky. They were a little loose on my sons feet. On the sand the kids would rather play with them tighter then looser. I would recommend if you are between sizes to purchase the smaller size.
More importantly we won our tournament!!
