The quality of this product is quite poor! It ripped upon placing a full size mattress into the king sized mattress cover. I thought that since the mattress was smaller that it would be ok since it wasn't stretched. Not the case at all. I would not recommend anyone to waste their money on this.

This vinyl cover does protect from liquid, but ripped at the seams as soon as I tried to put it on the mattress. I wasn't putting that much pressure on it.

when i bought this i thought it would be a great replacement for our one that ripped but it's not! DO NOT BUY!! it is junk!! i went to put it on the bed the zipper broke and the whole thing ripped just from barley tugging at it it was a waste of money! it ripped like paper i would hate to think if we slept on it!

Intended use was to protect Tempur-Pedic mattress during move (and before placing in bed box).

After removing from packaging it was obvious this was made with extremely thin material and we'd have to be very careful. Following instructions and being ever so careful sliding this on we managed to get the bottom of the mattress in the cover when we heard a small ripping noise and discovered it had already ripped along the zipper. We were able to get it on but not before incurring three additional rips.

Two words: Duct, tape.

After my experience with this cover I have to say you'd be better off going red-neck with some large trash/liner bags and duct tape, or simply continue searching for a thicker mm mattress cover, because this was utterly useless.

This Kennedy Home Collections Mattress Protector (zippered) protects nothing--after only a few days use, it was found to be ripped to shreds beneath the sheet! The problem was not due to insufficient size or misapplying the mattress "protector" but due instead to poor materials and craftsmanship. As another reviewer mentioned, my mattress "protector" also tore while being zipped, even though there was no undue pressure being applied--it happened during a gentle zip along the side. The "fabric" is by far the cheapest waterproof fabric I have ever seen--actually, no, let me take that back, because the product was NOT waterproof, considering that there was a one foot hole across the top middle of the pad! It is simply the cheapest of any kind of fabric I have seen. Another purchaser wrote "you get what you pay for", but I disagree--even at a cost of $8.00-$10.00 plus shipping, I should've received something that worked--this item should've lasted more than a week!

Our son was going off to college to live in a dorm and someone said eww[...] shared mattress. First thing I did was get on Amazon and search for a mattress bag! I would have paid any price to find one made of fabric that didnt squish like my grandma's old pee-pee protector did but to no avail. This one isnt bad, I covered it with a mattress pad and flannel sheets for his comfort, kind of just my thing so....great value. We slid the gross college mattress right into this thing, zipped it shut and now I have peace of mind that my baby is not sleeping on 10 years of college DNA.
I would and will buy another one when my next child goes off to college. :)

Ripped as we were trying to put it on. We have a 10" mattress. I guess maybe if you had an 8" it would go on easier but then it would be very loose on it. Ours is on and snug despite the rips in the end where the zipper is.....cheap zipper!
