I love this hair gel and use it daily. It does not smell and it is clear in color. I apply it after showering and then brush it out once my hair has dried because I don't care for the wet gel look anymore, but my hair is held in place rather well. There is also no sticky residue when you, or someone else, runs a hand through your hair. I used to use D:Fi, but that always left an annoying residue.

They changed the formula. I have an older bottle and the formula is different. It seems more watery and does not hold as well. I am going to use this as backup and have already switched to a different brand.

It's a watered down version which is why it's priced this way I guess. I've been buying/using CREW gel for almost 10 years, but this one looks like it's almost as runny as water. Doesn't hold much and leave dry flakes.

I buy this for my husband. I have seen other reviews saying the product formula seems to have changed recently. (more watered down) I questioned my husband and he hasn't noticed any change. He loves it as much as ever. He did prefer the old bottle style, but the product is as great as ever. It has a nice light hold that doesn't leave his hair looking weighted down by product.

I used to love this gel a few years ago. It had good hold and didn't flake. I think they changed the formula, though, as now it flakes quickly and leaves my hair looking like I went through a snowstorm.

The bottle that was sent to me was at least two years old. Crew has updated all of their packaging with orange lettering and this bottle had the old purple lettering. Should be noted when you order that is outdated.
