I received everything well before expected. The scale is broken and have already contacted PuriTest thru Amazon. I will post on final results. Also, it was advertised as a 30x loupe included with all the items and I received a 10x loupe instead. Not the 30x. I just noticed this and will also update my feedback if and when these issues are resolved.

I just changed my rating to 3 stars. The company has been very cooperative. I sent back the broken and wrong item and so far I already received a refund and then some for the return shipping. Communication has been an A+. PuriTEST has responded and everything is going great so far. They are sending me a new scale and I have also been receiving follow up e-mails. I am in contact with them through this whole thing. Once I get the replacement items I will update my review again and most likely they will be getting 5 stars. They deserve it for the cooperation alone.

Just got the new scale today. Works great! Even better than my AWS. We had a rough start together but everything turned out great. I never did receive the replacement loupe but I'm not too concerned. I have a whole rack of them. The e-mails and responses were on the money. Everything PuriTEST said they were going to do they did and they have another extremely happy customer. I wont hesitate to do business with them again. They were on top of the whole situation from day one and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Great customer service and even better communication and support. Thank You

The kit is "worth the money" however, I was disappointed in the scale; never could get it to "calibrate" correctly as it gave error messages continually; not worth sending back for replacement; I found that I could "improvise" the process and get it to read correctly but it's a pain; I have a better more expensive scale for bench work, this was only to be used in the field/outside the office. If they would include a better scale and a couple of neodymium (N52) magnets and charge a little more, it would be a great kit

Thought this kit would be perfect for a hobbyist. Unfortunately, the scale did not function, providing only an "Err" message. The diamond tester looked like it might work, except the instructions are very hard to follow. I returned the product & was granted a full refund. However, did cost an additional ten dollars shipping to return the kit.

The scale looked either used or built really really bad with one screw above where you put the battery stripped and another screw on the outer part of the case that just fell off. The Scale showed weight with nothing on it, calibrated it multiple times and same ole thing. Everything else in the package worked good. I gave the seller a chance to make it right but I never got a response, called and emailed them. Now I have to send the whole thing back when all I need is another scale.

Very disappointed. The scale does not work. Rather than sending it back I just bought a new one. The diamond tester, tests everything as diamonds even glass! The 30x maginfier is only a 10X magnifyer. The checicals appear to work properly. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and get a better quality product.

It doesn't give specific enough directions on how to use the kit. Especially the Diamond tester! When I used the Gold and Silver Little test Bars that come with the kit they don't give you a real reading And they can be picked up with the Magnetic in the Kit. The Diamond tester doesn't explain how to Calibrate the Diamond tester, it goes up to the Red even when their not real Diamonds. So as a promising new Business, I can't test a single thing!

After messing with this for a while, I have to say I'm not all that impressed with this system.

For one, the dark color flat stone that is enclosed makes it very difficult to see any color changes when the 'gold streak' is touched with the Fluid from the container. The STREAK is suppose to change colors if it's gold (depending on Karat). I can't afford to get items checked with a Jeweler, so I had planned on using this system to give myself some educated guesses on jewelry left by my deceased mother.

It would be handy to also know IF there is a book out there that helps with this process. For all that this contains, why not offer this in the whole package?

Just saying, I haven't used this as much as I had hoped.
