This coat fit my greyhound perfectly right out of the bag. It seems well made. Looks warm and water resistant although we haven't tested it in the rain yet. He's a 75 pound male greyhound and the XL was the perfect size.

I have uploaded an image and two videos. On 75 lbs Doberman XL fits very well with some room to spare for a heavier dog that measures 24" neck to rump. Waterproofing is excellent. We spent over an hour in a steady rain and the undergarments were dry. Added warmth seems sufficient even for a colder weather. Dogs were chasing rabbits like crazy and the garments didn't slip off and didn't restrict their movement.

I should start by saying that my dog weighs about 60 pounds, and is about 22 inches from his shoulder to his rump. So, he's right in between a large and an XL according to the specs of this product. I first ordered the large, which I had to return. I could get the size large on him, but overall it was not long enough. The belt hit him around his ribcage rather than his waist, so the velcro ends of the belt overlapped by only an inch. I returned the size large because the belt was straining at his ribcage and it seemed likely to open when he moved around. Then I ordered the size XL. Unfortunately, it was too large for him. Even when I closed the chest velcro as tightly as it would go, it was still way too large, which caused the coat to sit further back on his torso. This meant the belt hit him at the smallest part of his waist, and the velcro belt was too large (not to mention that the belt was in the path of pee stream here.) But I did like the look and feel of the coat, and my buddy loved having it on, so I altered it by shortening the chest flaps with some creative sewing. This solved the fit problem. Overall, I'd say sizing could be an issue with this product. Perhaps there is not much demand for coats to fit dogs the size of my mutt, but I wish there had been a size between large and XL. I like the materials of the coat, and it seems to be very comfortable for my dog. One note about the materials is that the reflective strip wasn't attached very well and the 3 or 4 inches closest to the neck started dangling within the first week of wear.

I have two pitbulls, both 60 and 63 pounds respectively, and I followed the instructions for measuring and "going up" a size when on the border. My dogs were 24 inches from neck to tail. Instead of a Size Large, I bought the X-Large coats. I received the coats and tried them on my bullies. They are huge and my dogs look like they are wearing dresses. Because of the way the velcro on the straps are, you can't really adjust too much or there is not enough velcro to velcro action to keep them closed. The strap around their waists is not snug to their body and hangs down about 4" below their bellies. Keeping in mind that my pitties have bigger chests and smaller hips than a lot of other breeds, I wanted to be sure the coats fit well in those areas but holy moley, the X-Large is definitely made for a 70 or 80 lb dog of larger stature. I definitely could have used the Large coats, but will keep them anyway because of the "no return policy" once you open the plastic wrapper (how do you fit the dog if you can't try it on them?). Anyway, the coats are nice and my dogs do love them. Even if they do look a bit ridiculous --- thankfully dogs don't think of themselves as fashion icons.

I bought this coat for my rottie. The coat itself is awesome, waterproof & warm. The sizing chart doesn't seem to be accurate. According to his measurements, I ordered a XXlarge. Its too big AND it can't be returned after the package is opened. How are you supposed to see if it's a proper fit if you can't return an opened package ?????

This flannel-lined blanket really must work; my short-haired dog was really unhappy on winter walks before we got it, but now she wants to stay outside just as long as she does in the autumn. It runs large, though: I started with an XL (my dog measures 24 inches from neck to base of tail, matching the XL description), but it was enormous--way too big to stay on her body. She's a lean dog, though. The Large fits perfectly despite being only 20" long. The seams seem well-constructed, and the lining is soft. It's reversible, with reflective striping on both faces. Be warned that the flannel lining can create some static build-up.

I wasn't sure about sizing when I ordered this item. For reference I have a 9 month old 65lb male boxer, 20" from shoulders to nub tail and roughly 27" around ribs. The length is great but he could probably use an extra large as boxers have "beefier" chests & more girth around the ribs. There's not much more room should he get much bigger, but for now it works great. The coat stays put when we go for walks and he seems to like it. The only downside to purchasing this product is the lack of sizing information the seller gives.

I live in New England and needed a coat for my short haired coonhound. She loves to play in the snow so I wanted something that would work with her activity level, and so far this coat has been great! The fleece lining (camo design) is a good weight and helps to keep her warm, and keeps the coat on her back. The Velcro is strong and heavy duty, so it does not pull away from the fabric with lots of use, like some other wimpier Velcro-attached items I have purchased..
It is easy to put on her and take off, and I can put her harness over it once I loosen the harness a bit to accommodate the thickness of the coat.
The only issue I had was the sizing; my dog is a medium in everything else (collars, vests, etc.) but the medium coat was too small, especially around her neck, and did not go far enough down her back. I returned it and got the large, much better sizing and goes all the way to her rump.
