These cherries are a delicious snack right out of the bag. They are flavorful, sweet and tart. They hold together well, which is great - not much crumb dust in the bottom of the bag. These don't seem to come with a silica gel packet, so instead of being crunchy as expected, they are chewier - four stars instead of five for this less preferred texture. While I recommend a lot of freeze dried foods for baby's first finger food, these are too chewy until they get their teeth.

These are like a funky healthful candy--cherry tart/sweet and chewy. The aftertaste is a bit grassy, which I find a tad odd, but the after-aftertaste is a nice cherry residue--like when you've had a strong tart-sweet cherry candy, like a Jolly Rancher.

Each of the tubs is the equivalent of 1.5 pounds fresh cherries. If you eat the whole tub, you'll consume 250 calories.

I bought these to use with hot and cold cereals, and they'll be fine. For eating out of hand, they're okay, too, but the grassy aftertaste keeps it from being a five-star product for me.

For those with bridges, crowns, etc, who worry about sticky products--this one is sticky and you'll have to floss/pick pieces off your teeth.

These freeze-dried cherries are very good. They are really crunchy (unlike the strawberries and raspberries of this same brand, which i definitely do not recommend). But they got it right with the cherries.

I really like freeze dried fruit. I like them more that regular dried fruit because of the crunchiness. They tend to be less sweet and more on the tart side. Guess that might be from the fruit not being ripe when freeze dried. They last almost forever, so you don't have to worry about them going bad. Although, if you live in humid areas, they might draw moisture, lose their crunchiness, and become a little chewy, so keep them properly sealed. They are great to take backpacking or camping. I've used them on field and range days. You can also use it to mix with your cereal.
