In the past, I've used some single-strip rubber squeegees (basically, larger versions of the kind you'd use to clean windows or shower doors), and they've worked okay, but almost always left streaks or bits of water here and there.

This squeegee blade is much nicer than single-blade types, and the rubber is so thick that it's hard to leave a streak. You need a relatively thick handle to screw the blade onto, but once you get that done, there's not much more to this squeegee. Great for cleaning basement and garage floors, or containing large spills on non-porous surfaces. I use this and a commercial shop-vac to get up messy water.

(Note: I purchased the Weiler 44303 72" Length, 15/16" Diameter, Threaded Wood Handle to go along with this squeegee, but it was a little narrow. I had to wrap the end in some cardboard before I could fit the squeegee over it and tighten down the clamp).

[Update: I now have the Boardwalk Brush 125 1-1/18 Inch Diameter x 60 Inch Length, Tapered End Bamwood Broom Handle, and it works perfectly with this squeegee head.]

Soft foam works great for removing fluids. Most I have used deteriorate due to oil, and I won't even consider the rubber style squeegees, they are worthless. Used at least weekly in an commercial automotive repair shop, and makes quick work of cleaning the floors. I recommend this handle to go with it: Rubbermaid Commercial FG636200 Sanded Wood Handle with Tapered Tip, 60" Length, Natural It's nice to be able to just buy a quality product and be done with it.

This squeegee worked great while it lasted. I ended up putting a screw in the hole on the side to keep it attached to the wooden pole. After 2 months of constant use, which is a little below average for my work, the metal completely came apart. While it was nice, I did expect this one to last a little bit longer than it did. I'm going back to trying some other types, in search of the best one for my money.

Used this squeegee a few times already to clean my home garage floor after mopping. Squeegee makes the entire floor nearly dry in just a few passes. No hopping across the floor with the correct pressure and the correct angle. The rubber part is soft and pliable and conforms to slight imperfections in my concrete floor. The double rubber blade leaves zero water behind. Very happy with this purchase.

I am a flooring professional, and use this to remove as much dirty water as possible from a tile floor after scrubbing. Then I vacuum up the dirty water with a shop vac. this methods removes as much of the dirt as is possible. Take note people of the world! You aren't cleaning your floor, you are just pushing around dirty water.

I don't have a drain in my garage but wanted to pressure wash the floor after winter...I got this to get all the water back into the driveway and it worked great. After one pass the water was already visibly drying up. Way better than the rubber ones(this looks like a folded piece of neoprene). My only complaint is that it was so aggressive it did not slide as easily as i would have liked....it was almost suction cupped to the floor, but it made sure every last drop of water was getting pushed out.

Good squeegee for helping me keep my epoxy garage floor looking nice.

It is a good width, and the straight edge allows you to push and pull the water (something that is hard to do with the wide curved squeegees)

You really need to add an extra screw into the handle if you want it to be extra sturdy (there is a hole in the clamp that works good for this). Otherwise, there was still some wobble, if you just use the clamp down bracket.

For some reason the squeegee I received did not say Rubbermaid...and was slightly different from the picture. Still durable and well made...but slightly annoying that it was not 100% as advertised.
