Put off getting this because I was skeptical of how well they worked. Connected the transmitter to my Dish network receiver and the receiver to a TV in my kitchen where I could not get wiring to. It was an old analog TV but did have video and audio jacks on the front that made hookup easy. Amazed at the picture quality, I have gone for years, (since TV stations went digital) without TV in the kitchen. Love it, and could not be more satisfied. Well worth the money.

Comes with two AV cables, two AC to DC power supplies for the units and a brief instruction booklet...everything needed.

Pretty nifty thing. Make sure to find the right setting. Couple of things to know going into it: It doesn't have a slot to hook up a coaxial cable so unless you are hooking it cable box, it can be kind of a pain. I bought an old VCR from a thrift store and that was able to convert it. Also, it doesn't transmit remote control signals, so if you wanted to watch tv from the living room in your bedroom, if you wanted to change the channel you'd have to go back in the living room to do so.

I would only recommend this to someone who wants to avoid having to run cables across a room for whatever reason. I have this in my bedroom because the cable jack is in a place that I would have to run a coax cable over the door and stuff.

had it hooked up in no time from Directv box in family room to second LCD tv in our detached garage about 60 feet away from source TV with two walls, fireplace and metal garage door between the units and it works great. Clear picture and sound. The remote repeater works just as it should with no noticable delay. My husband may never come out of his shop again! I hope it lasts a long while. We also have 2.4Mhz wireless phones and ATT DSL wireless router and had no interference from either. THUMBS UP. I only wish we could have purchased additional receiver units for other tvs.

Set-up was intuitive and easy, and I had wireless streaming video with sound going from one endpoint to another in about 10 minutes after opening the box and without even needing to read the instructions. The resolution of the video and sound is excellent, and the speed is outstanding. The Radio Frequency (RF) used by the transmitter / receiver pair is very strong with good signal strength -- it can pass signal through walls and between floors, and for considerable distance.

Though I didn't need to change the default frequency (channel), I had great fun switching between them to test the effects on my wireless router. Though the item is advertised as having 4 channels, you can actually get more by modulating the switch settings -- up to 8 different frequencies / channels. They probably don't tell you about the additional four because they were able to completely block signals from / to my wireless router. The fact that the signal strength at those frequencies was strong enough to wipe-out the signals from my wireless router is amazing. Some people across the street keep trying to break into my network via one of the wireless bridges, and I had fun broadcasting the unpublished frequencies at the periphery of my home to jam their wireless router signals from transmitting into my home. LOL.

If you are experiencing interference in the streaming video and / or sound with this device regardless of the frequency / channel setting, and in the form of pulsing flashes or distortion -- it can be resolved by keeping the RF transmitter and RF receiver at least 8 feet away from your wireless router.

I went through the instruction brochure and anticipated problems: NONE. Without making any adjustments, it worked immediately. I hooked to my cable box video/audio outputs, and hooked the receiver to my TV at the other end of the house. The signal had to travel through five (5) interior walls, and the signal was strong and the image and sound on the TV were perfect.

I then went on the internet and there was no interference, period; so I didn't have to select any other channel or frequency.

The alternative was to run a coaxial cable through the wall or attic to the other end of the house, which in my house, with cathedral ceilings in the first two rooms would have been difficult.

The product works exactly as described.

Revised Review: 9-26-2013:

I bought this April 17, 2013. It quit providing a usable signal for video August 2013. I thought it might be the old tv that finally failing. Wrong. I attached it to a new, HDTV, and made the connections. Same signals as the old tv: distorted sound, week video signal that would not sync. I tried changing channels and pulling power, etc. I even moved the tv and receiver within a few feet of the transmitter. It still wouldn't work. Finally, The unit lasted only four months.

It's 8/31/12 5:00pm and I just installed this product and cannot believe how easy it was to setup! All I had to do was change the signal channel on the back of the receiver and transmitter to channel 2. That was it! Perfect reception and I'm using FIOS. Hope this helps. Oh yeah the picture is very clear do not waste your money on the more expensive HD products out there.
