I bought this from a professional supply store. Not even close to being matte, has a greasy sheen and not really liking it. Their texturizing taffy is the same way, not matte at all. Just thought this would help others buying this. Especially other guys who don't like shine

I just bought this yesterday. My hairdresser thinned out my ends too much and now I have no volume. Grrr!! I chose this product because I have used texture putties in the past with success but I HATE it when they are overly scented! This one has a very light scent. I wish someone made something with NO SCENT. So many people get tired of too many artificial smells on their person. Anyway, a tiny bit rubbed into warm hands then evenly spread from roots to tips (least amount on tips) does a nice job of adding volume without weird stickiness or stiffness. I bend over at the waist to work it into my hair for even distribution. BTW I got it at a beauty supply store for $3 less than is listed here.

I works well on my short hair. I use it to give it a sort of "messy" look or when I want to make the ends looks piecy or define the layers. It's not heavy, stiff, or greasy; you may have to play with it to see how much you need to use to get the look you want.
