Fancy Feast has changed the recipe. When this was "Appetizers" it was my cats' favorite treat. Now it's called "Purely", and Fancy Feast have added sunflower seed oil to what was just meat, and none of my three cats will eat it now. When I wrote to Fancy Feast, they told me they hadn't changed the ingredients; that's a lie, it's obviously different, and it's written on the package. I will be donating this to the local cat rescue, in hopes their cats will like it better, and I won't be buying anything else from Fancy Feast ever again. Not only because they ruined my cats' favorite treat, but because they lied to me about it. If you are also looking for a replacement for this treat, I found PetSmart makes "Grreat Choice Purrrely Divine" treats which are almost exactly the same as the old Appetizers.

Our finicky cat with CRF used to love these as "appetizers" a supplement to her other food. With five ingredients, it was clear there was real meat and not overly processed. Now as "purely" they contain almost 26+ ingredients, the texture is mushy/awful and so is the color. Most importantly, our cat will not touch it now, sniffs it and walks away. Way to ruin a good product. Why would Purina not make a Purely line AND an Appetizer line? Guess you just lost a customer.

Purely bad news. All these cats can't be wrong. It was my cat's favorite wet food side to her dry food, too, until Purina changed the formula. What good is a "complete" food if cats won't eat it? Purely on left, Original on right.

All these flavors have been completely reformatted. Instead of being a treat intended as an addition to a normal diet, with about 4 ingredients on the label, they now have all those additives and chemicals that other balanced cat foods do.
This has gone from something my cats demanded every evening, to something they won't touch.
Taking a 5 star product to one star (if that) ought to be worth firing someone over. This is just terrible.

Buyer beware.. this new recipe was rejected by my cat immediately.
It's the only food he used to eat, but now we're buying up all the original tubs of this stuff we can find..
Who knows what we'll do when it runs out ?
Purina, meanwhile, told me they were sending coupons, and sent me a template email response about introducing a new diet to a cat.
Apparently, they don't know about finicky cats over at Purina.

When I gave the Fancy Feast Appetizers Tongal Tuna to my cats, they ate it with gusto. However, when I gave them the Purely Fancy Feast Tongal Tuna, they refused to eat it. Upon comparing both packages, I noticed that the Purely Fancy Feast had significantly more ingredients (fillers) than the Fancy Feast Appetizers package. I am greatly disappointed in the production change of this food because it was one of the rare foods my cats ate. Now I am forced to search for another brand of cat food. Is anyone else noticing this change?

Our cats begged for FF Appitizer but will not eat the "NEW" Purely version. I called Purina to complain, they said the Appitizer was being replaced with the Purely, got a refund but now have to find an alternative they will eat.

Yes, I am joining the rest of the population to say my kitties won't touch this product. I used to split a container of the original formula between a few cats every day as a treat but now they won't touch it. Very sad....looking for a replacement.
