The current product image (without shoulder) does not match the item delivered (with shoulder). Upon closer inspection, the description indeed mentions this shoulder. This is frustrating because while browsing the many search results for a rather specific query, I was shopping by sight, and only comparing the specific size requirements afterwards. I decided on this model visually, specifically because it had no shoulder... I knew the size/length I ordered would probably differ from the product image, but never imagined that the actual head/shoulder configuration would vary. Lesson learned.

Otherwise, this is a nice replacement part for my application. Just double-check the specs for mission-critical stuff. I use them as 1/4"-20 bolts for camera equipment.

Edit: To further add confusion, sometimes this listing has a shoulder in the image (like now, next to the box in which I'm reviewing it) and other times it doesn't (like a moment ago, on the product page, when I had to confirm that I wasn't crazy... yet). Really, it's not me... I've added my own photo in the customer images section. It's on an inch-scaled green cutting mat.

I use the thumbscrews for a custom frame I have designed. The product is excellent for such purpose. I am always a little shocked at how much they cost, but in the end the thumbscrew is the cherry on the Sundae. These were packaged in small plastic envelopes, shipped in appropriate sized containers, and delivered promptly.
