I use this with my Epson LabelWorks LW-300 Label Maker (C51CB69010). It is a very nice black on white tape. The backing peels very easily. The tape itself seems to be pretty waterproof. I have used it to put my name on plastic waterbottles, and the tape stays on even after I put the bottles through the dishwasher. This would probably also work well for people who leave their kids in daycare and have to put their name on bottles, tupperware, etc.

The tapes also peel off of must hard surfaces without leaving any residue. I have some file cabinets that I use these on and I can easily pick off the labels (after many months) without leaving any marks whatsoever.

30 feet is a nice length - much better than the 9 foot starter cartridge that came with the Label Maker.

These labels are great, with clear lettering and a nice laminate. The split backing is a wonder for someone with short nails, and for regular (but not excessive) labeling they should last you for quite a while.

The price is painful, and I definitely loathe paying about the same as I did for the actual label maker. However, when you consider that the roll contains all the ink and the actual label manufacturing components in it, the price makes a little more sense.

Still, I would feel better if it dropped a bit or if a generic option was available.

I would surmise that Epson uses the printers as a loss-leader to sell these cartridges. Ya know, seeing that the printer, a complex piece of electronics, is $7 more. But what do I know. I suppose such is the case with many printers, doesn't mean I won't complain. 4 Stars only for that reason. AFAIK, the Amazon price is pretty good as I think they generally are more than $20.

These cartridges work really well in my LW-300 printer. You get sharp, clean lettering and symbols for all fonts (which this printer has a TON of). As my sister always says, if you give a man a l labler, EVERYTHING will be labeled. I am no exception.

This is a blue cartridge, purchased only because I didn't want to spend double to get black and any other colors as well.

Labels stay stuck to reusable lunch containers and water bottles - after washing multiple times a day. We have not had a single label wash off yet - and we have been using them for about 2 months with our toddler and the stuff he takes to daycare. The only time a label comes off is when he tears them off. He loves to pick at them and peel them off, but believe me, he has to work at them to get them to remove. Once they do remove, they don't leave a residue either. Could not be happier with these labels.

I ordered these with my Epson LW-400 label printer (5-stars). The print is as crisp and clear as with the Epson black-on-clear labels, and are useful in just about any application. The cartridge comes in a 30-ft. that gives you one heck of a lot of labels. Like the other Epson labels, these are very flexible and, is misplaced, are easily repositioned if done quickly. They hold up well against washing (without use of solvents ot the print will fade).

I have mentioned in other reviews that the Brother P-Touch prints a label that has a 1" blank space both before and after the printed area. Because the Epson has only about 1/3" of blank space on either end, you get many more labels, so they end up being more price efficient.

This unit is compact and easy to use. The only drawback is the power. This unit requires AAA batteries. Rechargable AAAs are too expensive, and the A/C adaptor is expensive as well. I believe the newer model of this machine, only an additional $10 in price, takes AA batteries, making it a better buy. As far as using the unit goes, I like it.

The Epson label maker is a nice unit, but that's not what I'm reviewing.

The Black on White has proven itself to be the go-to cartridge of choice in over 80% of the labels I use.

Why???
I'll tell ya' why...........
This label can be clearly read on EVERY COLORED SURFACE, and that's HUGELY important to me.

Low Light? Not a problem. I can read it........
Don't have my glasses on?!? NOT A PROBLEM !!! (I can ALMOST always read it !!!!!!!!).

If you are going to use one color option.............. THIS IS IT.
