    The dress received is significantly different from what is shown here.
    1. It has a full bodice with an extra row of pearl lace at the waist rather than the empire style.
    2. The streamer ribbon is missing leaving a large blank area on front. It does have a big fluffy bow at the back waist.
    3. The lace overlay is much more ornate, not the pretty and simple motifs shown.
    I've looked at all the Lauren Madison dresses and can't find the one we received. Perhaps this style replaces the one shown. I'd return it but haven't been able to find out if the style shown is still available or if it could be delivered in time.

    BTW, I wouldn't consider the thin plastic bag your dry cleaning is retuned in to be of "Heirloom" quality.

    The dress was beautiful but really need to be able to order in a newborn size and I took the tooling out because it was to poofy and it looked like we saw all dress and no baby. I bought this dress for my granddaughter who was born 5 weeks early and would have been nice to order in newborn size. All in all it made her look like an angel.

    The 6 to 9 month size fit my 7 1/2 month old just right. The baby looked absolutely amazingly beautiful. The Christening gown is so elegant that it looks almost as if my daughter was in a wedding dress, which brought tears to my eyes. Online, the hat did not impress me. However, the hat also is beautiful. The bonnet & gown, with white tights and satin shoes were a lovely ensemble. It was pretty tricky getting her in the car seat with this long dress on; we almost took it back off to dress her up in it at the church instead, but we made it work. She got to ride to church in the clothing in which she was baptized. My daughter liked the material very much, which was easy to see by the way she was touching the embroidery and other parts of the dress. Also, she chewed the dress a few times, but it still looked amazing; we could not see any drool on it. Beautiful dress for a beautiful day in my daughter's life.

    Quality item for great price...dress has embroidery see throughout over layer, a white dress underneath, under that a slip that pushes dress out full and then under all of that a soft slip to be against the baby...beautiful dress everyone just loved. it will be beautiful on my granddaughter for her baptism
