I loved this version from the beginning. I am not enough of an expert to break it down for everyone but I have heard this opera many times, and I love this version. I admittedly love Glass. A lot.

Absolutely awe-inspiring. The repeating patterns are far ahead of their time; today's music industry has quite shamefully taken the work of Philip Glass without credit and turned it into pop/R&B/electronica that even country western musicians are utilizing.
