I was looking for Aqua dishes to go in my redecorated kitchen and had high hopes for these but they are not truly aqua. They are bluer than that. Maybe more of a robin blue. Other than the color not working they are very pretty.

I love the look and quality of these dishes but they are not as represented. They are LIGHT BLUE NOT AQUA. I have aqua decor and other dishes and these did not even come close to matching. These are a robin's egg blue - no aqua in any way. Sadly they are going back.

I love these plates. They are strong, easy to clean, and heavy but not so heavy that I cannot lift them into my cabinet. The indentation is just deep enough to keep sauces from heading south without being a bowl.

When I bought them, I expected a bright, colorful blue shade but what I received was more of a lighter cornflower hue. I don't mind it at all, I prefer it but I think if you are expecting something bright or dare I say tropical, you may find yourself disappointed.

These are nice plates. I wish they were a little bigger, because they are just a little smaller than I like--my old set was a half inch larger and it makes quite a difference on the area. They are also a heavy plate. If you don't want the weight of stoneware, then you won't like these. I haven't had stoneware for awhile and it is noticeable.

Also, the color is not as bright in person, as they are in the photos. Yes, yes, your monitor may vary, but still, I looked a lot of photos on different websites and there were variations, but most of them were brighter than what I have.

On the plus side,it is a lovely color, even if I don't think it was quite the same as the photos. And the simple design is very casual that at the same time has an elegance to it that is charming.

The only thing imperfect about this set is that one bowl had a tiny place on the edge unpainted. The bowls go through the dishwasher on lower rack with no worries. I may buy some of the matching pieces of this pattern.

I bought these for something different, and I liked the color and the design, both. It's stoneware, so it's heavy, but I like that in a soup bowl whereas in the plates I didn't care for it that much. But that's just the way stoneware is. I'm only giving it four stars instead of five because the color is not quite as bright as the photos show, but all in all they are pretty dishes in a really nice rimmed shape, with that delicate design. I like them a lot.
