I love this clip! It makes switching tags easy and doesn't ruin the tags.
Be careful when ordering because this is very small and is hard to clip on "regular" collars. Perfect for my petite dog, but it is hard to clip on the metal of regular sized collars. I hope that makes sense!

I purchased 2 Rubit clips, one medium and one large. One disappeared within days along with the attached tags which have never resurfaced (one reason I bought them was to keep them secure, the other was that I needed them to be easily removable so I can wash their collars as I am fighting yeast issues and one had serious pathogen problems when adopted so I needed to keep everything CLEAN). I suspect the first one disappeared from scratching. The second, I am not sure at all... the dog is a wild child so no telling what she got herself into. That one ended up with the bottom of the clip broken off in less than a month. Also had ordered both in blue, the one that stayed on for just shy of a month already showed signs of wear and I could see the silver underneath. Luckily the tags for the 2nd ended up in the house, though I never did find the section of the clip that broke off. I am trying out the chains that military use for dog tags, so far so good at over 2 months.

I had seen these and thought they would be a perfect solution for my problem. My little 10 pound Eskie likes to chew on his tags. With the Rubit, I can easily take the tags off his collar when we are home. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because with it, the tags hang even lower making it easier for him to get them in his mouth. Why can't someone come up with a dog tag that has the hook built in!

Works well. Stays clipped. Only issue is it makes the tags hang a little further from the collar than with a normal ring. Now the dog can get his tags in his mouth and chew on them. Also, he has 2 tags and the longer hang makes him more 'jingly' as he wanders the house. The clip mechanism works well and it IS tiny like you'd hope.

I've gotten so many of these and never had an issue with my one dog, but the other dog still loses his tags with this clip. After he rolls around on the rug, the clip bends back and the whole thing comes off the collar. I think its fine for a dog that doesn't vigorously roll on their backs. My other dog doesnt really roll too much, and like i said, she's never had an issue losing tags or the clip.

This clasp worked for 5 months on my 85 lbs. Chessie. Unfortunately it broke while on a walk and we can't find the tags. It's not worth the money when you have to go through the pain to replace all the tags again. Stick to the old faithful rings.

I purchased the Rubit at my local pet store. Twice. The first time I bought one I put it on my dog and within days her custom tag and rabies tag came off of the clip and were lost. The clip didn't come unfastened, the wire holding the tags to the clip did. The second time I purchased the Rubit I had it on her collar for about a month or so when I noticed that her tags were gone AGAIN. Once again, the clip was still there, but

The problem here isn't the clip itself. The actual little clip that attaches to the collar is great. The issue is that flimsy little piece of wire that they use to attach the tags to the clip. While the clip itself is sturdy, that little piece of wire becomes misshapen VERY easily which results in the loss of tags. I don't know about you, but I like my dogs to have cute tags and have no issue spending some good money. Her first one was copper and made just for her. Now it's gone.

I have one for all my dogs. I love it. The only problem I've ever had was when my husband hooked the leash to the Rubit instead of the collar and popped the metal piece out. We couldn't find the piece, or we probably could have fixed it. Very sturdy and perfect for anyone that wants to be able to change collars without the hassle (or breaking nails!)
