Never have I been so unhappy with a purchase from Amazon, but these sheets are miserable. First, every time they are washed a good part of the sheet is in your lint box. Second, about the fifth time they are washed, you are left with a sandy surf with a multitude of bumps. I was desperate though as they were very few extra long twin sheets to select from about six weeks ago and I was desperate. I realize Amazon can't check every product, but the quality of this purchase was ridiculous.

I was hesitant to buy these sheets after the "rough", "scratchy", and "pills" comments, but these sheets are actually really great. They are soft and smooth and don't pill at all. They are made in India out of Egyptian cotton and they didn't even wrinkle very much. I was really impressed. I'm going to buy another package as the color is a perfect match for what I need. Don't be scared of them. I'm not sure what the bad reviews were all about.

I was having a hard time finding hunter green sheets when I stumbled across these on Amazon. I decided to give them a try. I was very pleased with the color--a nice deep hunter, not a sage-y hunter. They also have a bit of silkiness to them--maybe that is why the other reviewers thought they were a bit thin. (I was very surprised that one buyer thought they were rough--I thought they were silky. Not sure how two buyers could have opposite experiences? Same with the person who washed them and they came out wrinkled--when I washed mine, they came out perfectly fine.) I was very pleased with the sheets and am ordering more in additional sizes for other beds in the house. Wish the price were just a little lower, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I bought these sheets in Twin x-long size for my daughter who was going off to college in August. I didn't wash them until early August and the seams on the pillow case ripped after just one wash on a delicate cycle. I thought that washing them would soften them up but it just made them rougher because the surface pilled. I wish I had washed them sooner so that I could return them. I expected high quality as they are billed as 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton and I paid a pretty high price for them. ($35.) I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend these sheets to any one.

Save the money difference between these sheets and the 300 thread count cotton/poly blend sheets for about half the money.

I purchased these for what I thought would be an upgrade in quality after using the cotton/poly blend for about a year. There is no difference in the sheets that I can see or feel. In fact these, after the initial out of the wrapper washing, have puckered at the seams on the pillow cases and the top sheet. The fact that the wash/dry instructions say to use the delicate setting on the dryer should have been my first clue.

I haven't experienced the 'pilling' that other reviews have mentioned, however.

UPDATED November 19, 2012.

Washed them for the second time today--cold water, lowest dryer setting-- and the fitted sheet has shrunk so much that it no longer fits properly. Lowered my 'stars rating' to one star. These--at least the set I received--are total junk.

These are terrible sheets!!! The description sounds really good, and the price was OK-not THAT cheap though. We have been using them 2 months, and they are all pilly. I've NEVER had cotton do that-only polyester. I expect top quality through Amazon, but this is junk. Will go to Bed, Bath and Beyond for new sheets - after only 2 months.
