The product was made and shipped directly from china. The arrival date on amazon said it would take approx 1 month to arrive; it took about 7 working days. I was happy with the early arrival to say the least_
I bought this amp to use with headphones, so I could play as loud as I want without bothering others.
It has tone, volume and overdrive adjustment dials; However, the volume dial setting is factory set so loud (on low) that using the gain overdrive is impossible to use unless you want your ears blown out!
I guess you could say- I got what I wished for-LOL.
The unit does work, with no "fuzz", but it does the job it was intended for.

This little thing rocks! It allows one to walk around playing, not having to be hooked to an amplifier, with nice "tube" sound, using just a pair of earphones. It sounds great, and even gives a single-coil Strat super sustain and crunch. Add in, you can plug in your tablet or phone, and play along with MP3's. Best of all. it allows "quiet practice". While the rest of the house sleeps, you can rock!

The company I ordered it from via Amazon, Hossen, has great service and communication too. All in all, this is a great buy.

I like JOYO products in that they are inexpensive and sound relatively good. This Mini Guitar Amp has it's ups and downs. On the positive, it works well and I haven't had any problems out of it. On the negative, it doesn't sound like a driven tube amp. It just sounds sort of fuzzy. You can adjust some of the fuzz, but not much, so playing clean through it is somewhat difficult. Will I still use it on trips? Possibly so, but not at home for practice.

I'm amazed at the reviews on this thing, it sounds no better than the cheap mini amp that I was hoping to improve upon. I have owned several mini amp thingies over the years, this is one of the worst. It sounds muted through decent phones and awful through good quality ear buds. I really wanted to try the Vox plugs, but didn't want to spend that much money on a practice device...you get what you pay for. Fortunately, I didn't spend much on this, but my advice would be to save your money and by something else.

Great product. Delivers a decent tube like tone. Go from clean to dirty by mixing the gain volume and tone on the Joyo with the volume and tone on your guitar. The volume knob is very sensitive but workable. Don't put the headphones on until after the amp is on. I have a fairly large guitar collection and they each sound a little different through this unit which tells me it's quite accurate. My '59 Melody Maker with the original P90 sounds really hot. The '61 Guild hollowbody is sweet as can be. Based on some of the reviews there may be some quality issues with some units but mine works fine. And for $14? Are you kidding? If it lasts 6 months I've got more than my money's worth.

It works, but that's about the only the good part of it. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I should have spent more to get a better quality product.

Firstly, the way the controls are placed, the settings are constantly being changed by touching my pants as I'm playing (my guitar as the socket on the bottom right edge if you were looking at the guitar standing straight up), whether standing or sitting. The gain control is very sensitive and it gets turned between no audio and high distortion as I'm playing. Very annoying.

The amplifier has a high pitched bleeping sound that comes and goes while playing (on a fresh battery). It's annoying, but not so loud that I can't play through it.

If I'm careful when seated, I can use this to practice without disturbing others too much, so that's how I'm using it.

I haven't tried the MP3 input, yet, so I can't comment on how that works.

Overall, I plan to replace it soon with something that works better.

Works pretty well. If you are just looking for a way to play without waking the kids/neighbors for an affordable price this is it. The audio in jack is a little fuzzy at times, but I was looking for functionality, not audio perfection. I'm very happy with this, now I can practice my solos over baking tracks as late as I want.

Volume works how I would expect.
Gain is ok, would recommend mostly blues/crunch sound, works for metal but putting the gain too high doesn't sound great.
Tone falls in line with the same function as the guitar's.

Sound fidelity is good. Gain distortion works well. Also used as a preamplifier to audio system amp with good results.

I wonder if there really is a difference in "Tube", "Metal", "English Channel", etc. sounds. Some listings show assorted types without ability to specify. This one said "Tube" and that's what arrived.

Note that batteries need to be replaced. I might prefer built -in Li battery, USB chargeable. Matter of personal preference, I suppose.
