I have never smelled bergamot before. I read the description of the product and thought I would give it a try. I love it. Good scent strength. I can't even explain the smell. It's citrusy and pretty much just amazing. It makes me happy. I mixed it with a little Shea butter (that smelled like a greasy old man) and it completely took the smell of the Shea butter away and made a wonderful smelling moisturizer. I can't seem to keep my nose out of my hand. As if I wasn't weird enough before.

I ordered the Bergamot Oil mainly for the smell to use for fragrance in my lotions/oils as well as for use in homemade/DIY cleaning products. So far, I've mixed it with grapefruit oil and vanilla oil (mixed with a carrier oil) and applied it to my wrists/neck etc. It smelled great! Nice citrusy smell, but it is distinctive and definitely smells different than orange/grapefruit etc. Bergamot is the distinctive smell of Earl Grey tea. Very nice. I've noticed in general that the scents from essential oils when used as a perfume is not very long lasting, but it's still refreshing and I prefer using this to chemical-filled commercial perfumes.

I love the smell of Bergamot oil, it dawned on me that after drinking Earl Grey tea for almost 10 years, that there has to be a Bergamot essential oil. The main purpose of me buying this oil was to wear it, sort of as a cologne, so I could constantly have a slight fragrance of Bergamot, which smells lovely! It doesn't last for a long time but I also did not expect it to, after putting it on, it occasionally has people asking me what I have on that smells so good! I'm very glad I purchased it and look forward to buying from this company in the future! To any guys looking at this review, this Bergamot oil is a chick magnet, not guaranteed to work all the time but man I tell ya, it's key ingredient must be attraction! I really like Bergamot essential oil because it can be used in a variety of things. I've been using it in my diffuser and also in the massage oils that I use. It has a nice warm citrus scent that is calming for the emotions and it does wonders on those tired achy muscles at the end of the day. A good oil to have in your stockpile.
