My cat loves, loves, loves to wrap her legs around my arm, push off with her back legs [and ultimately claws in my skin], chew on me and go a little crazy sometimes - much to my dismay. In an effort to focus those rough play times to an object OTHER than me, I got this. When it arrived I was a little surprised how large it was and was afraid my cat wouldn't take to it because she's just shy of a year old and is fairly small. It did take her a few days to warm up to this one but after a few bait-and-switches of her latching onto my arm and then my swapping the toy in and my arm out, she took the hint and proceeded to beat up on the toy instead. She LOVES the crinkle material inside and the large size ended up being perfect because, like my arm, it allowed her to grab it with her front legs and push off with her back all at the same time while hugging and rolling around with it. The size also hasn't been a deterrent for her to carry this around from time to time which is just the most hilarious sight because she's a little 5 lb. puffball and here she comes trotting in with this big goofy toy hanging from her face. While she does play with it even without my involvement, she hasn't 100% completely stopped wrestling with me because she's a cat and everyone with a cat knows a cat will do what a cat wants whenever the cat wants to do it BUT this toy definitely quickly and easily redirects her focus off me and lets her get out her rough playing on a safe object.

Just remarkable! I initially purchased this toy for my previous cat, Tosca, who is no longer with me, when she was about five years old. She showed absolutely no interest in it, but I didn't pay much for it and decided to keep it after Tosca passed given that it was virtually brand new. Fast-forward two years later and I am now the proud parent of a four-month old Scottish Fold kitten, who is a wild animal after his spending his first three months alive in a cage with a horrible disease (he was a pet store reject, long, awful story). Anyways, he ignored this toy originally, but as he grew stronger and more confident, and with a robust introduction from me, he attacked this toy with vigor! When Robbie (after Rob Roy, he is a Scot after all) gets really wound up, he, too, will try to wrestle with my arm and hand, but when I offer him this toy as an alternative he really grabs hold, ears pinned back (well, what he has for ears as a Scottish Fold) biting the toy with teeth while holding the body of the toy close to his body, thrashing it with his hind claws! Perfect diversion-toy for him.

I like all of the Petstages cat toys, he also has the cheese toy which is a blast for him, too. Another one of his faves is his Cat Dancer, a $3 piece of wire with twisted cardboard at the end that floats in the air like a moth. His Cat Dancer toy will make him leap and twist in the air! Definitely check that toy out, too!

Fun little toy for my grown cats. They love the crinkle sounds and love to chew on the ends. Just be aware that this toy is much larger than it looks. I bough it for my kitten, but it was the same size as him, so he was more afraid of it...but I am sure he will grow into it.

My kittens are absolutely wild for this toy. So wild, in fact, that one of them carries it everywhere he goes (including up and down the stairs). It is the perfect toy for kittens (mine are 5mo).

While there is nothing wrong with this toy, my 3 cats had 0 interest in it, most likely because it has no catnip. If they put catnip in it, I'm sure my cats would have played with it.
