I have these for my plecos, but half the time, my silver dollars get them first and swim around the tank carrying them around. All my fish have been healthy and growing well getting these wafers and fish flake daily. API seems to be the only brand I've found that uses certified sustainably sourced fish meal. Everyone has a soapbox and overfishing is mine. API's commitment to fish has made me a customer.

I PURCHASED A DIFFERENT BRAND, BUT WHEN I FOUND THESE I STOPPED PURCHASING ANYTHING ELSE...MY PLECO'S LOVE THEM. THE WAFERS IMMEDIATELY SINK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK WHICH IS WHERE MY PLECO'S OFTEN ARE WHEN IT'S TIME FOR THEIR ALGAE WAFERS...OTHER BRANDS FLOAT AND MY OTHER FISH NIBBLED ON THEM, BUT WE CAN OFTEN PUT THE API WAFERS RIGHT WHERE WE WANT THEM, AND THAT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PLECO'S...THEY DON'T CLOUD THE WATER AND THEY'RE NOT FLIMSY LIKE OTHER WAFERS...VERY, VERY PLEASED AND WILL ONLY BUY THESE...AND OF COURSE SINCE I GOT SEVERAL AND I GOT THEM ON AMAZON.COM I GOT THEM FOR A GREAT PRICE...

I feed several types of food, mixed together and wanted to add spiralina algae to balance with assorted freeze dried foods plus Koi & Cichlid sticks. This fits the bill perfectly and the fish go crazy over it. Community aquarium with cichlids, gouramis, rasboras and cory cats. Got these at my local PetSmart to try and the whole tank loves them. Much better price here on Amazon so buying here now. Noticed a couple of reviews about the smell, I can only guess they are feeding way too much at a time as no odor with my tank and I 'sniff test' all the time for water quality.

My tank is quite clean so there was not enough food for my algae eaters. They love these pellets. I plan on buying more when they are needed. They do not smell funny and they do not cloud the tank water either, which was a huge concern.

I could just hear my fish saying "These are incredible!" OK, I don't hear my fish talk, but I am sure they would say that if they could. I was surprised that when I dropped a couple of these in one of my tanks that the Molly's and the Guppies went crazy for them. The Molly's started chasing the Guppies away anytime they came close, had to drop a couple more in for them.

It is not like they were hungry as I had feed them not long before, so I guess they really love them, not to mention the ghost shrimp going after them when they could get close.

I had used this API brand of algae wafers earlier for my Pleco which loved it. I tried a different Tetra brand wafer and the Pleco would always try it for a second then leave it. Now I switched back to API and the Pleco eats it up again.

I had bought these as my first Alage Wafers for my Pleco and he loved them. I then ran out and went to a local store and bought Tetra Wafers and before not only did my Pleco want them, my golf fish wanted them and all the other fish BUT with the Tetra no fish went after the wafers. When I ran out I went on Amazon and bought the API ones and as soon as I dropped a few in the tank all the fish chased that wafer to the bottom and out came the Pleco! When they all scurry for it you know they like these!
