After reading all of the negative comments, I passed on ordering these. But after searching for other options and re-reading the positive notes I decided to take the risk because of the affordability of 18 roll on bottles. I'm glad I did! The order arrived on time in an amazon box. Inside the amazon box was a small box and some of those larger pillows of air. The small box had each glass bottle in a cardstock compartment while the plastic balls (assembled in their housing), black screw on lids and a clear plastic dropper were all nestled in another compartment. I did the sniff test to see if these were used and smelled nothing. I filled one with water and looked closely for residue and other scents, but again nothing. They were clean and appeared to be brand new. I've added my Doterra oil and fco, pushed in the roller ball piece and used the oil right away with success. After a week of daily use there are no leaks, no cracks and the roller is smooth! Please know I am an opinionated, educated and frugal Iowa gal who is very happy with this product!

No where on the description does it say that these bottles are used. They all REEK of perfume; different ones at that. I'm using them to put essential oils in for family Christmas gifts this year and have no time to demand a refund of such a poor product. How embarrassing. Shame on you seller!

They all have most definitely been used before and all reek of perfume. I was planning on trying to wash them out really well but the smell of the perfume gives me a headache. Don't waste your money on these.

UPDATE: Decided to give an extra star because after contacting the company, they immediately refunded my money (within minutes). I was disappointed that they claimed no one has EVER told them their bottles smelled like perfume, considering how many reviewers on Amazon documented the same experience. They blamed it on having "summer temp workers". Still sounds fishy to me.

I put my essential oils into these hoping it would help me not waste so much oil and get the amount i wanted of oil, but then after putting it into these rollers i noticed that they were leaking!!! Very disappointed!!

I'm using these for essential oil blends. Ideally I'd get amber or cobalt glass ones, but these were much more cost effective so it's a minor sacrifice, and I'll just keep them away from light. As there were many reviews talking about the roll ons not rolling effectively or falling out, I tried many of the roll ons in my batch and so far haven't had any issues with roll ons not working or falling out. I also made sure that the roll ons were easy to put on and take off of the bottle and that when the roll on was in place, the cap could securely fasten. No issues with that at all.

Others also mentioned that they had issues with leaking, and I carried a full roll on around during errands, and even had it upside down at one point without any issues. Lastly, these were clean bottles, well packed and never used, so I'm thinking that customers getting used bottles is an isolated incident.

Overall I love these, they are very convenient to use, come together quickly, and come back apart without much of a struggle to reuse. You could use these for so many applications, particularly to make travel kits for things like toner, etc.

I was expecting smooth, effortless action from the roll-on ball in this product. Instead, the ball is almost impossible to move and requires a great deal of force and fiddling to force the ball to roll at all. Out of 18 ball tops, 10 don't roll at all, and 8 require major force to roll. Pretty much useless as roll-on bottles. Other than that, the product was well packed, and the glass bottles and black caps seemed nice quality. They even included a plastic pipette for filling the bottles - nice touch. But I can't really recommend it because of the quality of the ball top.

I am not happy with this order. I thought I was getting something else and one of the rollers got stuck in the lid and I lost some of the essential oil that cost me $20 for 5 ml. I wouldn't order from this seller again. The shipping costs were also no acceptable.
