If you've done a lot of work with Quickport or Keystone connectors, you already know their advantage. In addition to Quickport, this connector fit perfectly in my Keystone plates, and works perfectly. Then again, I haven't had problems with other brands of connectors.

Since HDMI connectors are bigger than many others, such as RJ45, they are also harder to snap out of a plate. So it's best to be sure where you want to place them.

As with other HDMI connectors, the jack itself is sideways. On this one it's off to the side of the connector. On other brandss, it might be centered, and some face the other way. These can be relevant factors when you have lots of connectors on a plate, and placement of your wires could be affected. This topology could be a plus, especially for those connectors used on the left side. In some cases, it could make things tighter though.

Amazon also carries this HDMI Keystone Coupler Jack, which appears identical. Given that there are many connectors on the market, it's hard to say what makes one much better than the other. But I can't say that this deserves fewer stars because of that, because the quality is clearly there.

I compared it to some other connectors I have, and the connection pins do seem to be more substantial on this one. Having a bad or intermittent connection on one pin can cause strange artifacts, and the cause can be far from obvious.

If you are wiring your home, or especially if you are wiring somebody else's home, spending slightly more on connectors from one of the leading manufacturers is something to consider. It could save work down the line.

Hard to find Leviton products, now available on Amazon.com. These use to be available at the Home Depot, but now they got really cheap and got some China products which I really don't like. I truly like the quality of this product and have used Leviton in all my electrical wiring and A/V needs. Great item that works through walls if you need to hide that pesky HDMI cable nicely and professionally. Advice to get the 8 port plate because you never know how many other wires you might want to add in the near future.

I am so glad I bought these. I had another set of hdmi passthru for the wall and lost my 4k signal. I had also installed these along side the other brand and switched the Tivo and TV to this set of passthrus and got my 4k signal back! Whew because I almost pissed off the wife there if I had lost the 4k signal. Thank you Leviton for the quality product. I will buy two more and swap the cheap end brand out and throw them out.

I have a 75' run between my receiver and projector. For me, my HDMI cable comes out of the ceiling because that is where my projector is mounted.

I have a Epson Home Cinema 8700 Ub Projector which is table-top and I needed a short extension from the ceiling to the table.

This double female HDMI connector allowed me to add a 6' cable to my existing run and get my new projector running.

Keep in mind this is HDMI 1.3 and it is not 3D compatible.

I do have some Leviton wall plates and I may relocate this later for a more professional installation but for now it's working fine.

I bought one of this for a Leviton socket that lives in the back on my TV.

Long story short: this product either works and the signal doesn't suffer any damage or the signal that goes in is not as good as the one that comes out. After testing thoroughly, the signal doesn't deteriorate so I'm giving it 5 stars.

The piece itself is sturdy. The only thing I'm wondering is if it could be possible to reuse it because it's very secured to the mount.

I bought this when a low-cost product I had bought at a box store broke after plugging in the HDMI cable (5 minutes!) I ordered this part along with a 3-port decora insert by Leviton. This product is well made! I've plugged and unplugged HDMI cable into this and it works perfectly!

Great product, I've been using the Leviton quickport products for years and haven't found a bad one yet. I do recommend using their wall plates if you intend to use their QuickPorts. I've had issues with cheaper wall plates failing, these tend to tear up the cheaper plastic
