Great locking pins. I looked for them locally but could not find the size I needed. I'm using them for a Garelick 21 foot snow roof rake to replace the single pool filter-like "push button" that only holds one side of the handle with one button. I drilled 1/4" holes through the other side of each handle section and these locking pins go completely through both holes in the handle.

I found out the hard way that the "single button" on the roof rake was pretty lame when I thought I had it engaged and due to ice/snow, it popped loose and I left half of the roof rake 15 feet in the air stuck on the roof. I was so fond of pulling out an extension ladder in 10 degree weather with 2 feet of snow on the ground. Note to Garelick - use THESE rather than those stupid aluminum one sided push buttons!

I bought two packs of these to make quick attachment points on my kayak racks for very fast on/off of the straps. It makes it so much easier than throwing the straps over the kayaks and risk hitting the sun roof with any hardware. The kayaks are Feathercraft skin kayaks and I would not risk any damage hauling them on the roof if these were not 100% safe to use.

I keep the pins in place with electrical ties to secure to the rack, and a third one to keep the loop from coming off the pin under any stress.

These work great and the best price I seen thus far. A tiny hole to put a washer and cotter pin on the end to prevent the loop from coming off would be useful.

I leave this on the car pretty much year round. I've been using this on our all vehicles since 1996, no problems.

No problems at all with the product. The 1/4 by 1-3/4-Inch is the perfect size for attaching the handle to the handle socket and the foot piece to the standard bar on a Hi-Lift jack if that's helpful to anybody.

Exactly what it is supposed to be. Has been on the trailer for 4-5 months and shows now signs of weathering or deterioration. I added a cable to keep it permanently with the trailer, since I seem to loose them regularly. Hopefully this is the last one I have to buy for a while.

Where the lock connects to the Pin has a habit of popping out. A bit of bending with pliers and they are functional again, but I hope that doesn't happen when I don't have pliers handy.
