i love this candy and can not find it in my area. arrived in perfect shape. the filling is a firm mixture of sweetened crushed sesame seeds which gives it a soft but slightly crunchy texture with a vanilla-ish sesame flavor. the coating is a very nice dark chocolate. one 1.75 ounce bar is a good size for a candy bar serving. i don't know how well it would ship in warm weather as the coating is rich and melts easily.

By far the best, creamiest halvah I've ever had, covered with excellent dark chocolate. If you really want to enjoy it, don't read the nutritional information, though. How can sesame seed candy be so full of fat and calories? You could go through these very fast, but you'd better stop at one.

I have loved Joyva chocolate covered Halvah bars since I was a young child. There used to be a small store in the Chicago neighborhood I lived in who sold the crescent shaped chocolate covered Joyva bars. I grew to love the taste and for many years I had trouble finding a store who sold these halvah treats. My favorites being the chocolate covered and the marble halvah.

In our modern age the computer has changed the way we live and purchase things. You can now find just about anything you are looking for on line The only drawback to purchasing some items on line is the shipping costs. Nevertheless, I thought this product (Joyva Chocolate Covered 36 Halvah Bars 1.75 oz. each) was fairly reasonably priced which came out to about $1.00 a bar (Shipping cost included).

I found the halvah bars to be delicious and received my order very quickly. If you can’t get this treat in your area you should check out Amazon and other sites who sell halvah sesame treats.

I love these so much but they were all melted and a mess. They tried to keep them cool I guess because there were three plastic bags in the packaging with a paper toweled ball in them but were just as warm as the Halvah. I don't know if they were supposed to keep them cold or last the journey but unfortunately they did not. :( I tried to salvage a few bars in the freezer but it’s not the same. They were all mixed and the texture gone. :( I really love these and was so impatient to get them only to lose most of them to a melted squishy mess. :( I'm from NY and live now in IL which when I was younger my Grandmother would send me out for milk or bread etc... and she would always bribe me with a couple of buck left over from the change saying that I can get a Halva bar. I would run to the store and walk home eating the bar which was perfect and I loved them. In IL I can't find them so seen that you could buy them from AMAZON and ordered them with such excitement. They arrived early but were nothing but watery gush :( I am sure it’s not the sellers fault. I was so looking for them to not only bring back my childhood memories but I even bragged about them at work and no one knew what they were and are just as excited as I was to get them. I was going to bring them some to try.  I don’t know what else to say .

I appreciate that the bars are fresh and absolutely delicious. This is the only company that I can rely on for the freshness of the bars.
The only suggestion I have is to pack them in the warmer months in a way to keep them cool. The chocolate covering was softened and some of it came off in the wrapper - of course we opened the wrappers and licked the chocolate. YUM!

I am guessing that this company must have someone brand new in the shipping department. Who would ship CHOCOLATE to the state of FLORIDA in the middle of the SUMMER without a cold pack??? This item arrived melted beyond recognition. After opening a few of the bars, we put it in the fridge for a few hours hoping for the best, but no such luck. Then when I tried to contact Bayan to find out how to get a replacement...all you get is a generic voicemail that won't let you leave a message; but in turn asks you to just keep calling later. So... let me get this straight... These people ship chocolate all over the world for a living, yet don't know the proper way to ship chocolate all over the world? I guess i will now be forced to go through Amazon's Return procedure. Oh lucky me!

My body craves sesame nutrients, & these glucose-sweetened are not as high glycemic as many sweets causing the hypoglycemic low blood sugar rollercoaster highs then lows. Very satisfying, helps keep me away from the more processed "wicked whites." Re reviewers "Don't order in summer, or ask for cold-pack ship," I'll skip in summer to give my body a break from the oil & heaviness better in cold weather anyway. I found I prefer the uncoated Marble mix of vanilla & chocolate. L'chaim! :)
