I have 4 dogs: 2 geriatric with cataracts and 2 under the age of 2. Hoping that eye protection might prevent development of cataracts in the youngsters, I have tried the PlayaPup visors and one other brand. The PlayaPup visors are very well made but are ill-fitting for dogs with long narrow faces. The brims are not curved as in the pictures but are flat across and very stiff, thus holding the straps out away from the head. There isn't any way to adjust the fit other than the chin strap. One shake of the head or a stiff wind and the visor is swinging under the chin. They also tend to ride back on the head rather than sitting forward to shade the eyes.

I found that the instructions for sizing were crazy. I measured and ordered the small which is WAY too small for my Cavachon. I ended up with a large which fits him. I would suggest that they change the 'measure by inches' method, to a breed and weight chart. I now have two hats that are useless to me. I'd rather donate them than lose more money sending them back! I suggest going to a store and trying them on your dog BEFORE purchasing.

This little hat would have been great, but it is too stiff to stay put. I put it on my 7 lb. chihuahua and it looked cute and is the right size, but the Velcro was hard and scratchy. She would shake her body and it would end up upside down with the visor part under her chin. Maybe if the head part was softer and more flexible it would have worked better. I will be returning the item.

This hat is perfect for my 11 wk old siberian husky pup. We are taking her on her first camping trip (boating) and I don't want her little blue eyes to get sunburnt. She has this hat and a pair of pink Doggles. My only complaint is that the hat is too easy to shake off. I have to fix it every five seconds when she is wearing it. I was able to velcro it around the doggles strap under her chin and that seems to be holding it in place, but without the glasses the hat would just be hanging under her neck all the time.

I love this visor/cap! It's soooo cute! My Pomeranian(i posted a pic) looks absolutely beautiful! I paired it with Doggles K9 Optix Sunglasses Xsm Pink Rhinestones. She's ready for the summer's sunny days! After a while she does shake off the hat though, she'll get used to it! ;)

I ordered an extra large for my 55 lb female boxer. A little big on the sides in front of the ears, but I pinched and stitched it up so help bring it down more. My baby tolerates a lot and at first she tried to take it off but after a few swats she hasn't touched it. This will be perfect for when we go boating as it will help shade her eyes.

I got XS but it could be slightly small for my mini-husky so I had to order Small.When I measure my dog's forhead,I was not sure about I should measure from inside ear to inside ear,or from outside ear to outside ear.Measurement picture did not mention about it,this is the reason I put 4 stars. So you just wanna measure it right! so I think I should have measured from outside ear to outside ear. Overall,I like this product,my dog does not mind wearing this,she sleeps with wearing this visor.

My little Maltese is wearing this cap in the hot Florida sun. Maltese have very pink, delicate skin. My dog doesn't like to wear it but does so because there is no "Big Walk" unless he does. Wherever I walk him when he has the cap on, people stop, get out their cell phones and snap photos of him. One woman said, "I'm tempted to get a dog just so he/she could wear that cap!"

The cap has a thin terrycloth type lining inside the part that sits on the very top of the dog's head. I ordered a "Small" and it's so adjustable it's the proper size.
