This is a good OEM replica that replaced my original. There are a number of videos on YouTube that will walk you through replacing this on your car.

One bit of caution. The little posts that you have to push in to expand the fastener in to the holes of the car body are a bit fragile. I broke two of the 4 off while installing. If this happens to you, do the following -

1. Find the plastic peg that is now on the ground somewhere.
2. Using a razor knife, whittle the last 2mm of one end to make it easier to re-insert in to the hole,
3. Once you've done this, you'll be able to push it in a little by hand
4. Then gently tap it in using a hammer and a hole punch, awl, or similar tool.

The part worked OK, but be careful. The pins used to attach it to the car are just extruded plastic and you need to drive them into place with a small hammer and a large drift pin or something like it.. I broke one off trying to install and had to come up with my own way to replace the pin. The door feels a little floppy when it is opened because this hinge is just plastic. Don't know if anything stronger is made.

I have owned Volvo's for years (more than 20) and this is a common failure point for all of them after a few years. I always bought from Volvo in the past and the installation is easy and it works great. This time I did not have time to get to the dealership so I figured I would buy this one. What a piece of junk. It seemed to go on just fine but instantly fell off the tabs that hold it on to the car broke off just in the process of installing it. The plastic that is is made of is clearly more brittle than the Volvo branded version. For an extra 10 dollars i recommend buying the real thing. This product is absolutely worthless.

You have to mount it to the gas door first. If you mount it to the car first you can't get the door on. The mounting pins are good for one shot.
