Carhartt's sandstone jean jacket combines exceptional comfort with classic jacket styling. Constructed Carhartt strong with 12-ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck, it features sherpa lining in the body with quilted-nylon lining in the sleeves for all-day warmth. There's a spread collar and button front closure, along with two-button adjustable cuffs and a button waistband. As for storage, it's outfitted with two chest pockets with flaps and button closures, along with two lower-front welt pockets. Main seams are triple-stitched for strength.

    I have this Carhartt jacket in Large-Tall and it fits my 6-4 frame with proportionate arm length just about perfectly. In fact, it's always satisfying to find a jacket whose sleeves are long enough for me, and this jacket does not disappoint.

    Overall, it's a favorably weighty garment that is solidly constructed with triple-stitching on the major seams It gives a positive impression of being strong and durable. It's also warm, although for really cold weather the addition of another layer underneath is a good idea. Whether it is roomy enough for another layer depends on individual fit, however.

    The Frontier Brown color is a welcome change from blue denim. I've noticed that the color by this name is not consistent across Carhartt's product line. I have a Carhartt vest that is also called Frontier Brown but is noticeably different from the jacket. I would call the color of this jacket a light olive.

    In sum, the jacket is recommended.

    Warm, soft, comfortable, rugged!!! This jacket will work for me as a casual wear jacket. But if I decide to use it for work instead, it'll hold up for at LEAST a few years.

    The fit is slightly large, but I've only had it a short time. When I wash it, it should shrink slightly. I'll still have more than enough room for a hoodie or sweater.

    This is a top notch jacket,...I highly recommend it!!!

    Love this jacket so much. Wind proof for sure. Which is something I was glad it had. I have not gotten cold at all yet, in it. Not ever heavy either for a warmer jacket. Biggest thing was fit. I'm 6'6'' and 240 pounds. Muscular build with a skinny waist and long. I ordered the X-Large Tall. Arm length is perfect and the fit in the shoulders fits well. The waist is a lot better fit for me than the XXL. Which I had ordered and tried on before. Great fit and the for the price none better. Enjoy if the buy.

    Purchased this item on sale.
    I usually buy B & L so the sleeves will be long enough. My arms are long and I like sleeves that cover my wrists.
    The only size available was XL and that works fine for me. This jacket fits as expected, a bit large around the chest and waist and it leaves room for more layers.
    Alone, the jacket is comfortable and warm. The lining is great!
    The cuffs are adjustable and work well around my gloves.
    This jacket is a nice medium weight for days when a light windbreaker isn't enough, but my Carhart field jacket is too heavy.
    Useful addition to any man's wardrobe.

    The jacket is a very fine quality garment. Well crafted by Carhartt; looks to last for years. The Amazon Prime delivery through USPS was two days late and I would not recommend accepting any future deliveries through the antiquated USPS system.

    Very nice and warm jacket. My only complaint is that it's button-down instead of zipper closure but that's such a minor thing that I can live with it. It fits very well which is always a big plus for a guy my size. Highly recommended coat.

    As soon as I received this jacket I noticed serious flaws in the stitching around the button holes where the buttons would push through. They were extremely frayed with white threads hanging out of the button holes. This is not the Carhartt quality that I have come to know through the years. I noticed that this jacket was made in Mexico and the quality was very poor. This one is going back! If this is the quality that I can expect from Carhartt from now on, they won't be getting any more of my business.

    Good jacket. Got it cheap on here. Wish it had a zipper instead of the buttons that take too long to put together. Warm, but probably not practical for working outside all day in the winter unless you pair it with a hooded sweatshirt or something.
