I have a Charles Daly Tactical shotgun. There are really no options for side saddles because of the long forearm. I like the forearm so I was force to use a butt cuff for extra shells. It was always slipping around. I screwed this to the plastic stock and it works great. Holds the shells very well.

This is NOT a rigid molded hard plastic holder.
It is a hard rubber part that depends on the mounting to make the shells tight in the tubes.
Loose and not mounted.....the shells will fall out.
It is very flexible and comes with a few little wood screws for mounting.
ps.... When mounted.... The shells are extremely difficult to remove from the holder.
Being a fabricator.....i'll make it work on something .

The price is right but the quality is ehh. The 3 inside shells are held very tight and the 2 outside shells are held appropriately. They will not fall out, although extraction of the inside 3 is quite difficult. Would not recommend for home defense but for hunting and non-time sensitive reloads it does its job. You get what you pay for

I mounted this carrier on my Winchester 1300 and it looks good. The only issue I have had is that the carrier flexed due to the contour of the stock, so when I tightened it down some of the slots deformed a bit making the tension that holds the shells inconsistent from slot to slot. I may try to make this problem a little better by using some small washers to level the carrier out some. I would recommend this carrier.

This was mounted on a 12 GA w/ a collapsible stock and only half the wholes line up in such a way as to attach to the stock. I used loctite on the screws and an epoxy between the shell carrier and the stock but there is a good bit of recoil it will have to endure. Have not shot the 12 Ga since mounting and I am concerned how it will hold up (or on), especially over the long hall - time will tell.
