Ninja Master Prep is the best blender/chopper/juicer I have ever used. The blades are super sharp and they pull contents down so that all gets chopped without manually stirring. It handles ice in no time and makes juicing and chopping veggies a breeze. The two pitchers are great sizes for small and large amounts of smoothies or juices. The chopper bowl is a good size for garlic, onion and other common veggies. I use it to chop broccoli and spinach finely and add to ground beef and sauces instead of bread crumbs. It flavors spaghetti and other dishes just right while adding nutrition and fiber.
Washing is quick and easy and the lids allow you to store in the fridge. You will use this product nearly every day.

I have a couple of different blenders and a couple of different food processors. I bought this specifically to make smoothies. I wanted something that would liquify frozen fruits and fibrous vegetables, and maybe a few ice cubes, so that it would all go through a straw, without having to keep shoving the contents down into the blades, which is what I had to do with either blenders or food processors. (I also have a juicer, but concluded throwing out all of that healthy fiber was silly, and it's a pain to prep the vegetables and clean up everything afterwards anyway.)

The Ninja makes this possible with two features: multiple blades (for the larger size containers), and plenty of power. This package comes with four pitchers or containers: a large pitcher that can be used for making a batch of soup or smoothies for four people; a medium pitcher good for two servings; and two small ones. It also comes with shafts and blades that fit each of the three sizes. The shaft for the large pitcher carries three two-bladed blades, the medium shaft has two blades, and the small containers have a single bladed shaft. (Each also comes with a tight-fitting lid for storage.) To operate the device, you put the shaft into the container, add the ingredients, put a special lid over it, put the motor on top, and press down. The multiple blades effectively pulverize at multiple levels, instead of only at the bottom.

The containers and lids are all made of what seems like solid, rugged plastic. The motor is heavy and powerful.

How well does it work?

It does what I'd hoped, and I'm making smoothies regularly. However, if you use frozen fruits or fibrous vegetables--I like to add chunks of ginger, as well as carrots--it doesn't liquify everything in ten or fifteen seconds.Read more ›

I asked my hubby to get me the Ninja Master Prep Pro for Mother's Day. I wanted it to replace my blender and my food processor. It works so much better AND FASTER than either of my old gadgets!!! We make at least 6 protein shakes a day and it crushes the ice like a champ, and pretty quietly too! I would recommend this product to everyone, whether your kitchen is large or small. It will do so many things for you.

Its only my first day of opening the box and I have already used it twice for lunch and 4 times for dinner. Its amazing and super fast and perfect. Finely chopped onions in 3 presses. Perfect pure thick no-chemical tomato purée in 30 seconds. Gravy in few seconds. Love it, Love it.

* Love the top motorized pod concept. Its really easy to move it around.
* Love that it has 4 jars and all with its own lid.
* Very quick.
* Easy to clean.

Few things to bear in mind:
* It not meant to run for over 15 seconds at a time.
* Should have included a scraper spatula.

This is now on my must-have kitchen gadget list.

I read all the positive reviews for this Ninja and decided to purchase. This unit makes 'ice cream' in seconds. (Add frozen fruit and a small bit of cold mix, then blend.) PERFECT low cal./no fat frozen treat. Blends salsa and/or guacamole in 15 seconds. Crushes ice to a snow-cone consistency. Easy to clean. Beware: the blades are REALLY sharp. Great buy. Not sure if I will ever use the extra plastic blenders, but good to have in case I break or loan one out. This is definitely a : BUY IT!

My wife and I have the Larger version of the Ninja and actually bought this version because the larger one has problems with food getting stuck in the corners of the containers.

This Ninja has no such problem. When we first tried out our new ninja, we quickly learned that it was so effective if you leave it on too long you will liquefy your vegetables. My wife liquefied a few onions before she got the timing right. It only take a second or two and everything is finely chopped. I use it for mixing my own blend of crushed peppers for seasonings and it reduces them to small flecks and powder in seconds.

I was afraid that this smaller ninja would not have the power that we needed for making smoothies, but we were not disappointed. It powers through the ice like nothing. We still have our larger Ninja, but we haven't used it since we bought this one. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a blender.
