I purchased this kit as a starter kit and it fit the bill perfectly. It comes with everything you will need to respond to most emergencies. I did add a few items that I thought were important also. I added a ambu bag, a SAM splint, a better tourniquet, some ACE bandages, and a few 1 gallon ziplock bags. I had a paramedic check out the bag to get his thoughts on what else I could use and he said that the set-up that I had rivaled some of the trauma kits that the full time EMTs carry. This is a very through kit for the price. I am only certified as a first responder, so this has everything that I need for my level of education.

Update: My review is the the bag that was supplied by BP Medical. I have no idea what is in the bag from this new supplier and they appear to have removed any description of the contents.

The bag is large, but if you want to add things like an Ambu bag and a dozen other odds and ends, it holds and organizes them well. The internal padded divider helps keep everything well organized and protected. The bag has a reflective strip on it to keep you from getting clobbered by a car, and overall, just an excellent kit for the money (at the time I bought it).
I added a bunch of stuff (Quick clot, pulse-ox, ambubag, A tactical trauma kit, surgery kit, bottle of eyewash, bottle of alcohol, Sawyer extractor, Nasal airway and lube, benedryl, naproxin, aspirin, some white towels, bottle of hand sanitizer, bottle of iodine , bottle of wound wash, poison ivy cleanser, book on remote medical care "Remote Medic Field Guide: A Practical Approach", sharpie pen, chest seal, a good flashlight, a suction device to clean gook from airways, more nitrile gloves, Sam Splint, a tarp and paracord (in case it is raining), a large commercial trash bag (to keep the bag dry or to throw trash in) , a bivy sack (to treat for shock, since I can't imagine using a space blanket on someone), and a few other things, but if it came with that stuff, the bag would have cost $300 and I would not likely have bought it. Also for the bag itself, the 2 short handles fall down to the sizes, so I added a full sized climbing rated carabiner to hold the handles shut as well as make a nifty carrying handle. I suppose you could also use it as a carabiner if needed.

The kit contents were accurate to the description the seller provided. The smaller things (bandages, and little packets) came in 2 plastic bags (one is a repeat of the other).

I was a bit concerned about what I was buying from the reviews I read. Some were happy, and others said it was not a quality product. I am a first aid instructor and former EMT. I was looking for a good first aid kit for a remote client, and bought three of these. I am pleased at both the quality of the supplies, and the carrying case. The only way you could do better is by piecing one together yourself, and you may get better quality, but I doubt that you could do it much cheaper. I would not hesitate in buying one.

I just finished EMT training, and was looking for a great starting medical kit and a decent bag. This kit has it all, huge assortment of items and everything an EMT needs to get started. The bag is good quality, tough and durrable, waterproof bottom, and opens easily. However, the divides inside the bag that seperate compartments tend to be troublesome, often shifting too much and collasping unintentionally. This is my only complaint though. Overall, this item was above and beyond what I was expecting. Items contained are vast in number, and contain almost everything basic life support requires. I would advise adding more gloves (only comes with 1 pair), perhaps a BVM, maybe a C-collar, and additional splints. Great product!

My husband has been stocking up on medical supplies, just in case... and this bag is a well put together addition to our current emergency kit. We feel it is comprehensive, well packaged, well thought out and could be very useful in the case of a medical emergency one day. I have already raided this for something as simple as a scraped knee and a sprained ankle...and was quite glad we had it handy.

I like the size of this bag but the contents where slim pickings. I dont know if they sell this bag to fill on your own or what. I feel like I would have been better of buying a gym bag and filling it myself. Otherwise it does have a lot of pockets in it but when you get this first aid bag they are mostly empty, go figure?

The one was a thin cotton blue bag. No rubber bottom or reflective tape on the side it was missing the following.

Manual sphygmomanometer
burn cream
CPR mask with attachments
stethoscope
scissors
Oval Eye Pads
tampons/pads

Amazon was great and sent me replacement and guess what.... it was still missing stuff and the bag was junk. If it gets water on it it will soak through and get all the contents wet as well. Buy at your own peril. If you need booboo bandages then buy a different kit. With what I got it was worth about $30, not $100. Amazon was great by the way very fast to respond to my concerns so the two stars in on the kit on not on Amazon.

Nice bag overall, the bag was bigger that I thought. Reason for giving the bag 4 out of 5, is because the inner dividers could be better they were difficult to set up, but once setup they hold up alright. Also, thought more items would come with it I was able to add a lot of extra supplies that weren't included which was nice. I was pleased overall with the purchase, nice bag to start up a kit has a lot of basic must have stuff that you could build of off to make it the all purpose bag for minor cuts and scrapes to full truama situations. I would definitely recommend this bag if you want to start up kit, it's not top-quality but it's not dirt cheap quality either it's a good balanced product in my opinion.
